3.3.1 Begin by elegantly positioning the compressor base integrally upon the foundation. Slip in the wedge-shaped shim beneath the base, a crucial element for achieving perfect unit leveling.
Artfully alternate placing two wedge-shaped irons to achieve the desired level. After leveling, perform a meticulous spot weld on the wedges at 4 to 5 points to ensure steadfast stability.
The manufacture and installation of these wedges require customization by the user, tailored to the particularities of their setup. The contact surfaces must be finely finished to guarantee even contact on the inclined plane.
Ensure that the bearing capacity of your wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level with precision to ascertain the unit's level. The unit must meet exacting leveling criteria: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Perfect the art of centering the coupling. Prior to embarking on alignment, ensure these preparatory steps are completed:
1) Power down the main supply to avert any mishaps;
2) Carefully remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Extract the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section with care;
4) Examine the flatness of the motor's installation plane, ensuring it is pristine, devoid of extraneous materials;
5) Ensure the motor's bolt holes are of ample size relative to the bolts, allowing for adjustments by loosening them;
6) Gather a sufficient number of stainless steel gaskets for the motor's footing. The gaskets must be impeccably flat and free of attachments. Avoid the temptation to use long, slender gaskets for fine-tuning between motor and base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm, tools that the customer should provide;
8) Arrange for a bracket to support your dial indicator, as depicted in the illustrative figure below;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket should be employed to mount a dial indicator, placing its probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for unmatched precision;
10) Adjust bolts around the motor's feet to align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring the maximum deviation of the outer circle remains within 0.05mm. Note that the motor shaft center line should sit slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with the coupling end face variance kept between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securing the motor foot bolts, then verify the outer circle runout and the end face runout of the coupling for precision.;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section post a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 After achieving optimal 'levelness' and alignment, fasten the anchor bolts securely. Post mechanical operation or trial runs, release and retighten them for ensured stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a marvel of high-speed rotation, demands pristine conditions as even minimal solid or liquid ingress can lead to irreversible compressor damage. It is paramount that the inlet and outlet pipelines attached to the compressor are immaculate, meeting the stringent steam corrosion grade stipulations of the system. Should any pipeline fall short, immediate rectification is essential. Consider the implementation of solid-liquid separation technologies like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees preceding the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for accessory installation along the import and export pipelines. Crucially, the pipeline interfacing with the compressor must be supported independently by an auxiliary bracket, ensuring the compressor body is unburdened by its weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan, along with its ancillary equipment, has been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has completely solidified, it is time to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that all systems are functioning harmoniously and are primed for efficient performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor for optimal connectivity. The wiring should be carefully routed through threading pipes that are laid underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, it’s essential to seamlessly connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS. This ensures a robust and reliable communication link for efficient operation.
