The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is an engineering marvel, boasting a robust construction primarily consisting of a compressor body, which includes components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. 3.3.1 The foundation for the compressor base is meticulously prepared. Place the compressor base integrally on the foundation and ensure that wedge-shaped shims are positioned beneath it. These shims are essential for unit leveling.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately to reach the desired level. Once achieved, secure them by spot welding at 4 to 5 points. This precision is crucial for operational stability.
The user must manufacture and install the wedges according to specific site conditions. The contact surfaces should be meticulously finished to ensure even contact across the inclined plane.
Ensure that the bearing capacity of each wedge iron does not exceed 40 Kg/cm². This attention to detail prevents undue stress and ensures long-term durability.2).
3.3.2 Achieving precise leveling is of paramount importance. Utilize a level to ascertain the unit's level.
For optimal performance, the axial level should be maintained at 0.05/1000mm and the horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Alignment of the coupling is a critical step. Before initiating the alignment, ensure all preliminary requirements are met:
1) For safety, the main power supply must be turned off;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield to allow for uninhibited access;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to ensure precise alignment;
4) Confirm the flatness of the motor installation plane, ensuring it is free of debris, dirt, or any attachments;
5) The motor bolt holes should be larger than the bolts themselves to allow flexibility in adjusting the motor position;
6) Ensure you have a sufficient amount of flat, stainless steel gaskets to support the motor feet. Avoid using long or thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Use a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter, with accuracy up to 0.01mm, for exact measurements;
8) Have a bracket ready to support the dial indicator as illustrated in the figure below;
9) Mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub's edge using a dedicated bracket, ensuring the probe contacts the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Fine-tune the motor center line with the compressor by adjusting bolts around the motor feet. Maintain a maximum deviation of 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly above the compressor low-speed shaft center line. The coupling end-face deviation should be maintained between 0.03 to 0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and meticulously review the outer circle and coupling end-face runout to confirm precision alignment.;
12) After successful motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment, tighten the anchor bolts following the establishment of 'levelness' and alignment of the casing. After a mechanical (or trial) operation, re-loosen and re-tighten the bolts to ensure secure fitting.
3.3.5 The compressor's impeller, a high-speed rotating part, is sensitive to foreign substances. Ensure that connected inlet and outlet pipelines are clean and adhere to system steam corrosion standards. Rectify pipelines not meeting these standards by installing solid-liquid separation devices like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, integrating necessary pipeline accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. Support the pipelines separately to avoid imposing weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its accompanying equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached complete solidity, you are ready to proceed with the compressor operation test. This phase is crucial to ensure the reliable performance and efficiency of your Versatile Low Temperature Rise Steam Compressor, thus guaranteeing optimal results.
3.3.8 Strategically position the electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. Ensure all wiring from the compressor to this cabinet is expertly threaded through underground piping. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, precisely connect its wiring terminals to the remote DCS lines, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.
