The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of modern engineering, featuring a comprehensive assembly that includes the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an anti-surge control system. Its design focuses on a compact structure, ensuring it is not only space-efficient but also remarkably convenient for maintenance. 3.3.1 Begin by securely placing the compressor base on the solid foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve an ideal level for the unit.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately to balance the unit. Once perfectly leveled, apply spot welds to the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points, ensuring stability.
Users must craft and install these wedges tailored to their specific setup, ensuring that the contact surfaces have a uniform touch (even contact on the inclined surfaces),
while maintaining the weight-bearing capacity of each wedge iron at no more than 40Kg/cm2. This precision ensures unparalleled durability and efficiency.).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level tool to align the unit accurately. Adhere to the following high standards: an axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm,
and a horizontal level accuracy of 0.10/1000mm, ensuring the utmost operational excellence.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment by ensuring the following:
1) Deactivate the main power supply for safety;
2) Detach the protective coupling shield;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for flatness, removing any foreign materials or debris;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes offer ample space compared to the bolt size, allowing seamless motor adjustments;
6) Have a sufficient supply of perfectly flat stainless steel gaskets ready. Avoid using elongated or thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a highly accurate laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Set up a robust bracket to hold the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying diagram;
9) Use a motor hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, and position the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer rim;
10) Meticulously adjust the bolts surrounding the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor's center lines, with a maximum deviation tolerance of 0.05mm (motor shaft center line must remain slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), and coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Secure the motor foot bolts firmly and conduct a thorough review of both the outer circle runout and the coupling's end face runout;;
12) Conclude by reinstalling the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling assessment.
3.3.4 Post-alignment of the unit's casing, ensure the anchor bolts are tightly secured. After initial operation or trial, revisit the bolts to confirm tightness, ensuring long-term reliability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a precision high-speed component; any foreign solid or liquid intrusion could cause severe, irreversible damage to the compressor. Ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine, adhering to the system's steam corrosion standards.Pipelines failing to meet these standards must be corrected. Integrating equipment such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees prior to the compressor's inlet straight pipe is recommended for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere precisely to the PI diagram for accessory inclusion. Ensure that the pipeline's weight is supported by separate brackets and not by the compressor itself, safeguarding its integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its secondary equipment are securely installed and the concrete has fully cured, it is time to proceed with the exciting compressor operation test. This essential step ensures everything is functioning seamlessly, setting the stage for optimal performance.
3.3.8 For optimal connectivity and efficiency, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically placed within 5 meters of the unit. Ensure the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet is expertly threaded through underground conduit pipes. Once the cabinet is situated, meticulously link the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the remote DCS lines to guarantee seamless integration and control.
