The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, thoughtfully designed to include essential components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. This compressor boasts a compact structure that not only saves space but also enhances ease of maintenance, making it an indispensable tool in modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 To achieve seamless installation, place the compressor base integrally onto the foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims under the base, which are essential for adjusting the unit to perfect level.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately, ensuring they interlock precisely. Once the unit is level, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at four to five strategic points for secure positioning. Remember,
users must manufacture and install these wedges tailored to their specific scenarios. Ensure the contact surface is impeccably finished, guaranteeing even contact of the inclined plane,
and maintain a bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level for pinpoint accuracy. The leveling specifications are strict: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure every detail is in alignment to meet the rigorous standards.
3.3.3 For precise coupling alignment, follow these preparatory steps:
1) Begin by switching off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield, ensuring no components are misplaced;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Examine the motor installation plane for flatness, clearing away any debris, dirt, or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole diameter exceeds the bolt size, allowing adjustment flexibility;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to underlay the motor. These should be pristine, adequately flat, and free of any attachments. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for motor-base adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with exceptional accuracy (0.01mm), which the customer should provide;
8) Set up a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated below;
9) Attach the motor wheel hub mounting bracket, positioning the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge accurately;
10) Carefully adjust the bolts around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines closely. Ensure maximum deviations: outer circle 0.05mm and coupling end face between 0.03~0.05mm. The motor shaft center line must be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft line.
11) Finally, secure the motor foot bolts. Double-check the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for ultimate precision,;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test to finalize the setup.
3.3.4 Post alignment and level adjustment of the casing, tighten the anchor bolts. After running the machine (or during trial operations), loosen and retighten the bolts for assured stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, as a high-speed rotating part, must remain free from solid or liquid intrusions to prevent irreversible compressor damage. Keep inlet and outlet pipelines impeccably clean and compliant with the system's steam corrosion standards. Should pipelines fail to meet criteria, immediate rectification is imperative. It's advisable to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Install the inlet and outlet pipes of the compressor meticulously. Adhere to the PI diagram for guidance on fitting pipeline accessories. Support the pipeline with an independent bracket, ensuring the compressor body bears no additional weight.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its accompanying equipment has been exquisitely completed and the concrete has achieved full solidity, you may proceed with the compressor operation test. This vital step ensures the system is primed for optimal performance.
3.3.8 To ensure seamless operation, position the compressor's electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For a sleek and safe setup, use threading pipes routed underground to connect the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly situated, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within it to the remote DCS lines, ensuring robust and reliable communication.
