3.3.1 The compressor's robust base should be elegantly placed on the foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims, specifically designed for leveling the unit, under the base.
Skillfully alternate two wedge-shaped irons. Once leveling is achieved, delicately spot weld these irons at 4 to 5 critical points. The wedge should be
fabricated and precisely installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions. The contact surface must be finished to ensure even contact with the inclined
plane. Note, the wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a high-precision level to ascertain perfect alignment. The unit's leveling specifications demand an axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm, and a horizontal
level precision of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Coupling requires meticulous centering. Before you embark on alignment, ensure these prerequisites are met:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely shut off;
2) Remove the coupling shield with care;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor installation plane to confirm it is free from debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is ample compared to the bolt size, allowing for loosening to adjust the motor adequately;
6) Stock up on perfectly flat stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor's foot. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and the base;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which should be procured by the customer;
8) Equip yourself with a bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is pivotal for setting a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, with its probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By skillfully adjusting the bolts surrounding the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines. Ensure the maximum outer circle deviation is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Coupling end face should range between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by tightening the motor foot bolts, then meticulously reassess the outer circle runout and coupling end face runout;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reattach the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving optimal "levelness" and alignment of the casing, firmly secure the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical operation or trial, loosen and re-tighten these bolts for ultimate stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, is sensitive to any solid or liquid intrusion, which could inflict irreversible damage. Hence, ensure the compressor's inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and align with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines. It is stronglyrecommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation apparatus, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor's inlet.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. According to the PI diagram, install relevant pipeline accessories. Another bracket should support the pipeline connected to the compressor, ensuring its weight is not borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has achieved full solidity, it is the perfect moment to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is in optimal working condition, paving the way for seamless performance.
3.3.8 For optimal efficiency and safety, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The wiring must be smoothly threaded through dedicated piping that runs underground, ensuring both protection and aesthetic integrity. Upon positioning the electric control cabinet, seamlessly connect its wiring terminals to the lines at the remote DCS, enabling flawless communication and control.
