Heat pump distillation is a cutting-edge process that involves the pressurization and heating of steam at the top of the tower by harnessing external power. This innovative approach enhances the steam to a superior grade, thereby allowing it to serve effectively as a reboiler heat source at the tower's base. This technique is instrumental in recovering the latent heat of the steam, making the entire operation remarkably efficient and sustainable.
In direct compression heat pump distillation, the vapor phase at the top of the tower is ingeniously utilized as the working fluid. An external steam compressor significantly elevates the energy level of this vapor phase, transforming it into a high-temperature heat source for the reboiler at the bottom of the tower. As depicted in the figure below, direct compression heat pump distillation is optimally suited for separation systems where there are minimal temperature differences between the top and bottom of the tower, and where the boiling points are closely aligned.
The centrifugal compressor employed in heat pump distillation is a marvel of modern engineering, comprising a sophisticated assembly of a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an anti-surge control system. This state-of-the-art equipment is designed with a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and offering unparalleled reliability and performance in distillation operations.
The strategic use of compressors in this system completely eliminates the need for external heat sources and cooling water, thereby streamlining operations and contributing to a more eco-friendly and cost-effective distillation process!
3.3.1 Position the robust compressor base seamlessly on the foundation. Slip wedge-shaped shims beneath it for precise leveling adjustment. These shims ensure the unit's perfect horizontal alignment.
Skillfully alternate two wedge-shaped irons, achieving flawless unit leveling. Secure by spot-welding the wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points for stability.
The manufacturing and installation of the wedge must be tailored to the user's specific scenario, ensuring a smooth, uninterrupted contact surface.
The wedge iron's inclined plane must evenly contact, with a load-bearing capacity not surpassing 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve impeccable leveling using a level. The unit's axial level demands a precision of 0.05/1000mm, with the horizontal level requiring 0.10/1000mm.
These exacting standards ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the unit.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous precision. Prior to alignment commencement, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) Disengage the main power supply for safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield to gain necessary access;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section carefully;
4) Verify motor installation plane flatness, ensuring the absence of foreign materials, dirt, and attachments;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt dimensions, allowing ease of motor adjustment upon bolt loosening;
6) Amass ample flat stainless steel gaskets to firmly support the motor's footing, free from any attachments. Avoid using elongated or slender gaskets for adjustments between motor and base.
7) Utilize a precision dial indicator or laser alignment tool with 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer).
8) Prepare and position the bracket for the dial indicator as depicted in the figure below for accurate readings;
9) Employ the motor's wheel hub mounting bracket to affix a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the probe at the compressor wheel hub's periphery;
10) Adjust bolts around the motor feet carefully to align the compressor and motor center lines. Maintain a maximum deviation of 0.05mm (ensuring the motor shaft center line is higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft). Coupling end face deviations should be within 0.03-0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then meticulously review both the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling for precision and reliability.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section with confidence.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of 'levelness' and alignment, ensure the anchor bolts are firmly tightened. After the mechanical or trial operation, loosen and retighten these bolts to maintain secure, stable mounting.
3.3.5 The impeller’s high-speed rotation demands pristine conditions, as foreign solids or liquids can inflict irreversible harm on the compressor. Entrances to compressor pipelines must be impeccably clean, adhering to system steam corrosion standards. Unqualified pipelines necessitate immediate rectification. The integration of solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe is highly recommended.Suggested incorporation of solid-liquid separation ensures safeguarding against potential damage.
3.3.6 Methodically install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram for correct placement of relevant pipeline accessories. Securely support pipelines with additional brackets, as the compressor body should not bear their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its accompanying equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has fully solidified, the time has arrived to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial testing phase is integral to ensuring the seamless functionality and reliability of the system.
3.3.8 The compressor's electric control cabinet should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor for optimal control and accessibility. The connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet is to be established using threading pipes, professionally routed underground to ensure safety and aesthetics. When the electric control cabinet is securely installed, proceed to connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a robust and efficient connection for superior performance.
