The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of modern engineering, encompassing a robust array of components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design is a testament to efficiency and practicality, boasting a compact structure that ensures ease of maintenance and unparalleled convenience.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Slip a wedge-shaped shim under the base, which serves to finely adjust the unit's level.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons, ensuring the unit is perfectly leveled, followed by spot welding the irons at 4~5 key points for stability.
Create and fit the wedge according to the specific conditions, ensuring the contact surface is meticulously finished. This guarantees a seamless contact of the inclined plane.
The wedge iron's bearing capacity must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a level to achieve precision leveling. The exacting leveling standards are: the axial level should be 0.05/1000mm and the horizontal level should be 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is impeccably centered. Prior to alignment, it is crucial to confirm these prerequisites:
1) Switch off the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring the absence of debris, dirt, or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is larger than the bolt size, facilitating easy adjustment of the motor by loosening the bolt;
6) Equip yourself with stainless steel gaskets to envelop the motor's foot. Ensure the gaskets are unblemished and lay flat. Avoid using lengthy, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the diagram below;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub's edge and set a probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Skillfully adjust the bolts surrounding the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center line. Maintain the maximum outer circle deviation at 0.05mm (the motor shaft's center should be elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center), and coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finally, secure the motor foot bolts firmly, then verify the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for precision.;
12) Post motor idle testing, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of casing 'levelness' and alignment, anchor bolts should be securely tightened. After mechanical or trial operations, bolts should be loosened and re-tightened for optimal performance.
3.3.5 The impeller is a delicate high-speed component. Any foreign matter entering can cause irreversible harm to the compressor. Hence, ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require urgent rectification. It is strongly recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure the connected pipeline is independently supported by a separate bracket, safeguarding the compressor body from bearing any weight.
3.3.7 After the main fan, along with all its essential ancillary equipment, is securely installed and the surrounding concrete has fully solidified, the next critical step in optimizing your wastewater solutions is ready to commence: the dynamic compressor operation test. 3.3.8 For seamless operation, place the electric control cabinet of the compressor strategically within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. To ensure a tidy and efficient setup, all wiring from the compressor to this cabinet must be expertly threaded through underground pipes.
