The fundamental principle behind this technology is to compress secondary steam generated by the evaporator using a highly efficient steam compressor, thereby transforming electrical energy into valuable thermal energy. This process elevates the secondary steam’s pressure and temperature, allowing the heated steam to return to the evaporator, where it effectively heats materials and induces evaporation. This ingenious cycle enables the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, showcasing a remarkable feat of energy efficiency.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is an exceptional piece of engineering, meticulously crafted with a sophisticated assembly, including a robust compressor body comprised of the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. In addition to this, the system integrates a coupling, motor, and electric instruments, all harmoniously working together to ensure peak performance and reliability.
3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base integrally onto the foundation. Strategically place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure perfect leveling. These shims are vital for the unit's balance.
Proceed to place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner. Once the unit is meticulously leveled, secure the wedges by spot welding them at four to five points. This ensures a stable foundation.
The user is responsible for manufacturing and fitting the wedges to suit the actual conditions. It is essential that the contact surface is impeccably finished, ensuring even pressure distribution.
The bearing capacity of each wedge iron should be carefully monitored and must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to achieve precision leveling. The unit's leveling criteria are stringent: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm are mandatory for optimal performance.
Adhering to these specifications ensures the unit operates smoothly and efficiently.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with precision. Prior to commencing alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are met for safety and efficacy:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for accurate alignment;
4) Verify the motor's installation plane is impeccably flat, free from debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts for ease of adjustment;
6) Adequately prepare stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's feet. Gaskets should be devoid of attachments and sufficiently flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, which must be provided by the customer;
8) Ready the necessary bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the schematic below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, ensuring the probe accurately contacts the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Carefully adjust the bolts surrounding the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines. The deviation should be minimal, with an outer circle tolerance of 0.05mm. The motor shaft center line should be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with the coupling end face deviation maintained between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Secure the motor foot bolts firmly. Conduct a meticulous review of the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling to ensure precision.;
12) Following the motor idling test, reattach the coupling intermediate section with care.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, ensure all anchor bolts are firmly tightened. After mechanical operations or trial runs, it is prudent to loosen and retighten them for enhanced integrity.
3.3.5 Recognize the impeller as a high-speed rotating component; intrusion of solid or liquid can irreparably damage the compressor. Therefore, ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are immaculate and meet steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification. The inclusion of solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet is highly recommended.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure that all associated pipeline accessories correspond with the PI diagram. Support pipelines with an independent bracket to prevent undue stress on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and auxiliary equipment are installed and the concrete fully cured, commence the compressor operation test to verify functionality and performance.
