MVR, an abbreviation for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, stands as a groundbreaking energy-saving technology designed to drastically minimize external energy consumption. It achieves this by ingeniously reutilizing the secondary steam energy it generates. The core principle of MVR involves compressing secondary steam, produced by the evaporator, using a high-energy-efficiency steam compressor. This process skillfully converts electrical energy to thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Consequently, this enhanced secondary steam re-enters the evaporator, effectively heating the materials and driving further evaporation. Thus, MVR elegantly enables the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization inherent in secondary steam, ushering in a new era of energy efficiency.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, meticulously designed to include an array of components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, and an advanced electric instrument and anti-surge control system. This compressor boasts a compact structure, ensuring not only ease of maintenance but also reliable performance in various industrial applications.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be meticulously positioned on the prepared foundation. Carefully place wedge-shaped shims under the base to adjust the unit to a perfect level.
Alternately position two wedge-shaped irons; once the unit is leveled, expertly spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges
should be user-manufactured and installed, tailored to the specific situation. Ensure the contact surface is finely finished for even contact on the inclined plane,
with a bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 A precise level is crucial to attain the desired accuracy. The unit's axial level must adhere to 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should be maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 For precise coupling centering, ensure the following prerequisites before alignment:
1) Safely disconnect the main power supply;
2) Gently remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Ensure the motor installation plane is impeccably flat and free of debris and foreign substances;
5) Verify the motor bolt holes are slightly oversized compared to the bolt size to facilitate easy loosening and motor adjustment;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets on hand for covering the motor's foot. Ensure these gaskets are spotless and perfectly flat. Avoid long and thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and its base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a precision laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm accuracy (customer-provided);
8) Ready the specified bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated below;
9) The motor hub mounting bracket should accommodate a dial indicator on the hub's edge, positioning the probe precisely on the compressor hub's outer edge;
10) Fine-tune the adjustment bolts located around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines accurately. Follow prescribed instructions, ensuring a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm (motor shaft center should be slightly higher than compressor's low-speed shaft), and coupling end face at 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts once more, and recheck the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout for absolute precision.;
12) After a successful motor idling test, smoothly reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 With the casing's 'levelness' and alignment finely adjusted, ensure to tighten the anchor bolts. Post-trial operation, loosen and retighten for optimal stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed rotating component. Entry of any solid or liquid can cause serious, irreversible damage to the compressor. It is vital that the connected inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion rating. Non-compliant pipelines must be promptly rectified.To prevent damage, consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor's inlet straight pipe.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Ensure import and export pipelines are equipped with appropriate accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. The pipeline should be supported independently, not by the compressor body, to prevent undue stress.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are expertly installed and the concrete foundation has achieved complete solidification, the compressor is ready for its operation test. This step ensures that the installation is flawless and that the equipment is primed for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically installed within a 5-meter proximity for effortless access and maintenance. The connection between the compressor and the electric control cabinet should be meticulously executed using threading pipe that is discreetly placed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in position, proceed to seamlessly connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and reliable communication pathway for superior functionality.
