MVR, or mechanical vapor recompression, is a cutting-edge energy-saving technology designed to significantly curb the need for external energy sources. It achieves this by ingeniously repurposing the secondary steam energy it produces. The core principle lies in the process where the evaporator generates secondary steam, which is then expertly compressed using a highly efficient steam compressor. This transformation converts electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Subsequently, this heated secondary steam is channeled back into the evaporator, effectively heating the materials and inducing evaporation. Through this process, the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam is marvelously recycled, optimizing energy usage.
The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is an exceptional piece of engineering, comprised of a robust compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This innovative design boasts a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and operation. Such a streamlined configuration is not only efficient but also incredibly user-friendly, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring reliability and performance.
3.3.1 The compressor base is expertly placed on the foundation. To achieve optimal alignment, insert wedge-shaped shims under the base.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately; once the unit is perfectly level, secure them with 4~5 spot welds. The precision-crafted
wedges should be tailored by the user to fit specific circumstances, ensuring the contact surface is meticulously finished for uniform
pressure distribution. Note that the load-bearing capacity of each wedge should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to ensure accuracy. The meticulous leveling standards for the unit demand an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and
a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm for superior performance.
3.3.3 Ensure perfect coupling alignment. Begin by confirming these prerequisites:
1) Safely turn off the main power;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Thoroughly check the flatness of the motor mount plane, ensuring it's free of contaminants;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed bolt size to allow for motor adjustments;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage, ensuring they are immaculate and perfectly flat.
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter (customer-supplied) to achieve exact measurements;
8) Have a stable bracket ready for supporting the dial indicator, as depicted below;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator at the hub's edge, placing the probe at the compressor's wheel hub edge;
10) By skillfully adjusting the motor foot bolts, align the compressor and motor center line. Aim for a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm,
and a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm, with the motor shaft slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section for seamless operation.
3.3.4 Securely tighten the anchor bolts post-alignment of the casing. Post-trial operation, loosen and retighten the bolts to affirm stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating element, demands pristine conditions to avert irreversible damage. Ensure all inlet and outlet pipelinesconnected to the compressor are pristine and compliant with system steam corrosion standards. For pipelines falling short, setup solid-liquid
separation equipment like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees before compressor inlets is advised. Install inlet and outlet pipelines,
3.3.7 Upon the successful installation of the main fan and its associated equipment, and after ensuring that the concrete foundation has completely solidified, it is time to proceed with the compressor operation test. This step is crucial to validate the efficiency and reliability of the installation, ensuring seamless performance in the task of sugar liquid drying.
3.3.8 For optimal operational efficiency, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet must be securely routed through an underground threading pipe. Once the electric control cabinet is positioned, ensure thorough connectivity by linking the wiring terminals inside the cabinet with the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), guaranteeing a robust and reliable control setup.
