The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of modern engineering, featuring a thoughtfully integrated design that includes the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, advanced lubrication system, motor, sophisticated electric instrumentation, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. Its compact architecture not only ensures a streamlined appearance but also significantly enhances ease of maintenance, making it an ideal choice for efficient and reliable operation.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base fully onto the foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to precisely adjust the unit's level.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 points. The wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to their specific conditions. Ensure that the contact surfaces are meticulously finished for even contact
across the inclined plane. The wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve perfect leveling. The unit's leveling specifications are stringent, with an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Align the coupling with precision. Before initiating alignment, ensure the following steps are completed:
1) Deactivate the main power supply immediately;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments;
5) The motor's bolt hole must be larger than the bolt itself to allow for loosening and precise motor adjustments;
6) Secure an adequate supply of stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's foot. These should be spotless, flat, and not inserted inappropriately between motor and base.
7) Employ a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter (0.01mm accuracy, to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a stable bracket for supporting the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket should facilitate the mounting of a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, with the probe positioned on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor center line closely. The outer circle's maximum deviation should be 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Ensure coupling end face deviations are within 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and double-check the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for accuracy;;
12) Post motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the casing's 'levelness' and alignment are adjusted, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After conducting a mechanical (or trial) operation, loosen and retighten the bolts for optimal stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed component. To prevent irreversible damage from solid or liquid ingress, ensure all inlet and outlet pipelines connecting to the compressor are spotless and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Noncompliant pipelines must be rectified.To achieve this, it is advisable to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, preceding the straight pipe at the compressor's inlet.
3.3.6 Install both the inlet and outlet pipes of the compressor. Ensure that the import and export pipelines are fitted with appropriate pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipeline affixed to the compressor must be independently supported by another bracket, rather than the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its associated equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, you are ready to embark on the compressor operation test. Ensuring that all components are securely in place, this critical phase ensures optimal functionality of the system.
3.3.8 For optimal performance and safety, the compressor's electric control cabinet must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to the control unit should be seamlessly integrated through an underground threading pipe. Once the electric control cabinet is secured in its location, proceed to link the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless connection.
