MVR, which stands for mechanical vapor recompression, represents a groundbreaking energy-saving technology that significantly cuts down on the reliance on external energy sources. This is achieved by ingeniously recycling the secondary steam energy it produces. Essentially, the primary principle involves the compression of secondary steam generated by the evaporator using a high-efficiency steam compressor. This process effectively transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Subsequently, this elevated temperature allows the secondary steam to return to the evaporator, where it serves to efficiently heat materials and induce evaporation, thereby facilitating the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a sophisticated piece of engineering marvel that predominantly comprises the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. It boasts a remarkably compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and operational convenience.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally on the foundation and carefully position wedge-shaped shims underneath the base to adjust and ensure the unit's level.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once you achieve leveling, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 points for stability. Note that these wedges should be
fabricated and installed by the user, tailored to the specific circumstances. Ensure the contact surfaces are perfected to include even contact with the inclined
plane. The bearing capacity of each wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ascertain precision leveling. The unit's leveling standards demand an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Proper coupling alignment is critical. Before commencing alignment procedures, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) The main power supply must be turned off;
2) Detach the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling for examination;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) The motor bolt holes must be larger than the bolts themselves to allow for bolt loosening when adjusting the motor;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to secure the motor's footing. These gaskets must be clean and perfectly flat; avoid using elongated, thin gaskets between the motor and base for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy, prepared by the customer;
8) Ensure you have a suitable bracket ready to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Attach the motor wheel hub mounting bracket designed to hold a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjusting the bolts around the motor feet should align the compressor and motor center line almost perfectly, with an outer circle deviation not exceeding 0.05mm, while the motor shaft center line should be higher than the compressor low-speed shaft center line. Ensure coupling end face deviation is between 0.03-0.05mm;
11) Secure the motor foot bolts tightly and recheck the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling to ensure alignment consistency;
12) Conclude by reinstalling the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test to verify operational stability.
3.3.4 After achieving ideal 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical function or trial operation, release the bolts, then retighten to guarantee secure operation.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation means that any infiltration of solids or liquids can severely damage the compressor. It's crucial to ensure that all pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards. Any non-compliant pipelines must be corrected. It's advisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. According to the PI diagram, the import and export pipelines should be fitted with the appropriate pipeline accessories. The pipeline connected to the compressor should be supported independently by another bracket, never relying on the compressor body to bear its weight, to maintain the integrity of the system.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, it's time to initiate the exhilarating compressor operation test.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. The interconnecting wiring from the compressor to this cabinet should be elegantly routed through a conduit, discreetly positioned underground for a seamless appearance. Once the electric control cabinet is steadfastly in place, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring optimal operation.
