The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is an engineering marvel, crafted with precision and ingenuity. It chiefly consists of a seamlessly integrated compressor body, comprising components such as the volute, meticulously designed impeller, robust main shaft, durable bearing housing, and reliable seal. Additionally, it features a coupling, a high-efficiency motor, and sophisticated electric instruments. This intricate assembly ensures optimal performance and reliability, positioning the DML series as a leader in cutting-edge steam compression technology.
3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. Elevate with wedge-shaped shims for precise level adjustments.
Alternate placement of wedge-shaped irons is essential. After leveling, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 distinct points.
Wedges should be custom-fabricated and installed by the user, tailored to specific situational needs, ensuring a finished contact surface.
The inclined plane must evenly contact, and the wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level for alignment. Required unit leveling: axial level precision at 0.05/1000mm, horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve coupling precision by ensuring these prerequisites before alignment:
1) Deactivate the main power source to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield carefully;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify motor installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring no foreign materials interfere;
5) Motor bolt holes need to exceed bolt size for adjustable motor positioning;
6) Stock adequate stainless steel gaskets for motor support, free from contaminants and perfectly flat. Avoid long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (procured by the customer);
8) Prepare the correct bracket for dial indicator support as depicted below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub bracket to mount a dial indicator, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Align compressor and motor center lines by adjusting motor foot bolts. The outer circle deviation should be within 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft. Ensure coupling end face measures 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Once alignment is confirmed, secure the motor foot bolts, reviewing the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post levelness and alignment adjustments, anchor bolts must be tightened. Following operational or trial runs, release and re-tighten bolts to ensure steadfastness.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotational element, faces risks from solid or liquid ingress, potentially damaging the compressor. Ensure connected pipelines are pristine, adhering to the system’s steam corrosion specifications. Non-compliant pipelines demand rectification. Installing solid-liquid separation devices, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, is recommended prior to compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipelines, incorporating accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure pipeline bracketing provides support independently of the compressor body.
3.3.7 Upon complete installation and concrete solidification of the main fan and ancillary equipment, proceed with the compressor operation test.
