The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a masterpiece of engineering, featuring a range of essential components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. Its design is characterized by a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and exceptional operational convenience.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be elegantly positioned on the foundation. Carefully nestle wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling of the unit.
Securely place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner. Upon leveling, skillfully spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at four to five points, ensuring stability and precision.
Craft and install the wedge according to real-world conditions; the contact surface must be refined for an immaculate fit. The inclined plane should evenly distribute weight.
The wedge iron must not exceed a bearing capacity of 40Kg/cm², ensuring optimal performance.2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to attain the perfect alignment. The unit's axial level must be maintained at 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should be at 0.10/1000mm.
Ensuring these exacting standards will guarantee optimal functionality of the unit.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous care. Prior to alignment, confirm these vital prerequisites:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure absolute safety.
2) Detach the coupling shield with care.
3) Extract the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for unhindered access.
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane, ensuring it is devoid of debris or impurities.
5) The motor bolt hole should generously exceed bolt size, allowing for effortless adjustments.
6) Have ample, pristine stainless steel gaskets ready. These should be perfectly flat and free of contaminants.
7) Equip yourself with a dial indicator or laser alignment meter of 0.01mm accuracy for precise alignment.
8) Prepare the mounting bracket for the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying illustration.
9) Use the motor wheel hub's mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge for accurate measurements.
10) Achieve alignment by adjusting bolts around the motor feet, ensuring the compressor and motor center lines are in harmony. The deviation must remain within 0.05mm, with the motor shaft slightly elevated.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and recheck the runout of the coupling's outer circle and end face for assurance.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section post-motor idling test to ensure seamless operation.
3.3.4 Once the casing's levelness and alignment are achieved, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical operation, loosen, and then retighten to secure integrity.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, demands pristine conditions. Any intrusion of solids or liquids can lead to irreversible damage, necessitating meticulous cleanliness of inlet and outlet pipelines.Enhance pipeline integrity by integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Installation of the compressor inlet and outlet pipes should follow the PI diagram with precision. Each pipeline should be independently supported to prevent undue stress on the compressor body, ensuring longevity and efficacy.
3.3.7 Once the majestic main fan and its sophisticated ancillary equipment are meticulously installed, and the robust concrete has fully solidified to perfection, you are ready to embark on the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet strategically within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor to ensure optimal connectivity. Utilize sturdy threading pipes to guide the wiring underground, creating a clean and organized pathway from the compressor to the cabinet. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, expertly link the wiring terminals inside the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a seamless, controlled, and efficient operation.
