The Oil-film High-Speed Direct Drive Steam Compressor stands as a remarkable feat of turbine engineering, powered by a state-of-the-art high-efficiency permanent magnet motor. Its distinctive main structure showcases an impeller seamlessly integrated at the shaft extension end of the motor. This ingenious design directly supports the rotor with an oil film bearing, allowing for direct drive by the high-speed motor without the need for a cumbersome speed increasing box or coupling. This streamlined approach not only enhances operational efficiency but also ensures a more reliable and robust performance, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of industrial applications.
3.3.1 The grand compressor base is to be majestically placed as a whole on its foundation. Gracefully slide wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to adjust the precision of the unit's level.
Place two wedge-shaped irons in a strategic alternating pattern. Once the unit is leveled to perfection, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4~5 points for secure anchorage. The wedge shall be
crafted and installed by the user in accordance with the unique circumstances of the setting. Ensure that the contact surface is flawlessly finished for even contact of the inclined
plane. Bear in mind that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron must not exceed the robust 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precise level to achieve impeccable balance. The leveling standards for the unit are exquisitely exact: the axial level registers at 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
plane holds at a meticulous 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
3.3.3 The coupling must be centered with finesse. Prior to commencing alignment, the following meticulous checks are essential:
1) Securely turn off the main power supply to ensure safe handling;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to proceed;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with precision;
4) Diligently inspect the motor installation plane for absolute cleanliness and absence of any debris;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is spacious enough to allow bolt adjustment with ease;
6) Be equipped with sufficient, unblemished stainless steel gaskets to fully cover the motor's foot. Avoid using long and thin gaskets to wedge between the motor and base;
7) Employ a high-precision dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm (which the customer should prepare);
8) Ready the supporting bracket for the dial indicator, illustrated elegantly in the figure below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position the dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, with the indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By skillfully adjusting the motor foot adjustment bolts, align the compressor and motor center lines to near perfection. Ensure the maximum deviation of the outer circle remains at 0.05mm, maintaining the motor shaft's center line slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Keep the coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Firmly tighten the motor's foot bolts and recheck both the outer circle runout and the end face runout of the coupling for absolute precision.;
12) Conclude with the installation of the coupling intermediate section following a satisfactory motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of the casing's 'levelness' and alignment, secure the anchor bolts. Upon the successful mechanical operation or trial run, unfasten and retighten these bolts to ensure enduring stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, must be shielded from any stray solid or liquid that could inflict irreversible harm upon the compressor. It is crucial to confirm that the inlet and outlet pipelines are impeccably clean and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade standards. Non-compliant pipelines must undergo essential rectification. Incorporating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, is recommended before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for installing any necessary pipeline accessories. The pipeline attached to the compressor should rest upon an independent bracket, ensuring that its weight is not borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation is thoroughly solidified, it is time to initiate the exhilarating compressor operation test.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically installed within a convenient 5-meter distance of the compressor. The wiring that connects the compressor to this cabinet should be securely encased in threading pipe, ensuring it is safely routed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly positioned, seamlessly connect the wiring terminals inside the cabinet with the remote DCS lines, ensuring a flawless integration.
