3.3.1 Begin by integrally placing the compressor base on the foundation. Employ wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, which are essential for achieving perfect unit leveling.
Alternate the placement of the wedge-shaped irons, ensuring a balanced leveling of the unit. Secure the wedges with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points.
Users should custom manufacture and install the wedges tailored to their specific circumstances. Ensure the contact surface is meticulously finished for a flawless and even contact on the inclined plane.
Note that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron must not exceed 40Kg/cm2.)
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to determine the exact level. Unit leveling requirements are defined as an axial level accuracy of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level accuracy of 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure these standards are stringently adhered to for optimal performance.
3.3.3 For precise coupling alignment, adhere to these preparatory steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off.
2) Dismantle the protective coupling shield.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section.
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it's free from any debris, dirt, or attachments.
5) The motor bolt holes must surpass the bolt size, enabling bolt loosening for motor adjustment.
6) Equip yourself with ample stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor's foot. Gaskets must be attachment-free and exceptionally flat. Refrain from using elongated, thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and base.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, provided by the customer.
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, following the illustration below.
9) Use a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator at the compressor wheel hub's edge, with the probe on the outer edge.
10) By fine-tuning the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines. Aim for a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center is slightly above the compressor low-speed shaft center. The coupling end face should maintain a deviation of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Once aligned, securely tighten the motor foot bolts and recheck the outer and end face runouts of the coupling.;
12) Post motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving impeccable levelness and alignment of the casing, fasten the anchor bolts. For mechanical or trial operations, loosen and re-tighten the bolts post-operation for enhanced stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating part, and any foreign solid or liquid could inflict permanent damage. Thus, verify that inlet and outlet pipelines linked to the compressor are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines.It is advisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes with the appropriate pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure that the pipeline's weight is supported by a separate bracket and not burdening the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has fully set and solidified, it is time to proceed with conducting the compressor operation test. This vital step ensures the entire system's readiness and operational efficiency.
3.3.8 For optimal performance and safety, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically installed within 5 meters of the compressor itself. The connection between the compressor and its control cabinet should be established using threading pipes that are securely routed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is properly positioned, ensure that the wiring terminals inside are seamlessly connected to the remote DCS lines, thus ensuring a robust and efficient communication system.
