The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor stands as an engineering marvel, featuring a meticulously crafted compressor body comprising a volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Additionally, it integrates a coupling, motor, and sophisticated electric instruments, all harmoniously working together. 3.3.1 The compressor base should be gracefully and securely positioned on the foundation. Place wedge-shaped shims under the base to expertly adjust the unit to a perfect level.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once leveling is accomplished, skillfully spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4~5 strategic points for stability. The wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user with precision, tailored to the actual installation context. The contact surfaces must be flawlessly finished to ensure uniform contact on inclined planes, with the bearing
capacity of the wedge irons not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain unit alignment. The requirements for leveling are as follows: the axial level of the unit should be 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level should measure 0.10/1000mm, ensuring optimal performance.
3.3.3 Achieve impeccable coupling alignment by ensuring these prerequisites are met before commencing:
1) Safely deactivate the main power supply;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield for accessibility;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with care;
4) Thoroughly inspect the flatness of the motor installation plane to eliminate any debris, dirt, or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts themselves, allowing for loosening when adjustments are necessary;
6) Prepare ample, pristine stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor foot. These gaskets must be free from any debris and must lie flat. Avoid inserting long and thin gaskets between the motor and base;
7) Utilize a precision dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy, supplied by the customer;
8) Ensure availability of a bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the figure below;
9) Mount the motor wheel hub bracket for precise placement of a dial indicator, positioning the probe on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub;
10) Delicately adjust the bolts around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines as close as possible, with an outer circle deviation maximum of 0.05mm. The motor's shaft center line should be higher than the low-speed shaft center line of the compressor by coupling end face 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely fasten the motor foot bolts and verify the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for precision;;
12) Reattach the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test to ensure seamless function.
3.3.4 Once the "levelness" and alignment of the casing are finely adjusted, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After mechanical operation or trial, loosen and retighten for optimal durability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, must be protected from any solid or liquid incursions to avoid catastrophic damage to the compressor. Ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines are impeccably clean and suited to the steam corrosion grade requirements of the system. Should any pipelines fall short, rectification is essential. Enhance the setup by integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the expert installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for installing pertinent pipeline accessories. Ensure that the pipeline is supported independently by a separate bracket, as its weight must not rest upon the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supportive equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidification, you may proceed to conduct a comprehensive compressor operation test. This ensures that every component is functioning seamlessly, paving the way for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection to the electric control cabinet must be laid underground using threading pipes for a sleek, unobtrusive appearance. Once the cabinet is in place, seamlessly link the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a robust and efficient connection.
