The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is engineered with precision to include a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 Begin the installation by placing the compressor base securely on the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precise leveling.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons to maintain stability. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 points to ensure they stay in place.
The user is responsible for manufacturing and installing these wedges, tailored to their specific scenario. Ensure the contact surfaces are flawlessly finished for an even and sturdy fit.
These wedges must distribute weight efficiently, with a bearing capacity not exceeding 40 Kg/cm².2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to perfect the alignment. The axial and horizontal leveling of the unit should respectively meet the exacting standards of 0.05/1000mm and 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure these precise leveling requirements are consistently adhered to for optimal function.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous care. Before proceeding with alignment, ensure all preparatory steps are fulfilled:
1) Power down the main electrical supply completely, safeguarding your workspace.
2) Detach the coupling shield to gain unencumbered access.
3) Gently remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section for further alignment.
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor installation plane, ensuring it is devoid of debris and impurities.
5) Ensure the motor's bolt holes exceed the bolt diameter, allowing bolts to be adjusted for motor alignment.
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets to fit snugly under the motor's feet. They should be pristine and flat. Avoid using elongated, thin gaskets which might compromise adjustment accuracy.
7) Employ a precision tool, such as a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm accuracy (customer sourced).
8) Equip yourself with a reliable bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the included diagram.
9) Utilize a motor wheel hub mounting bracket for dial indicator placement, ensuring the probe is perfectly positioned on the compressor's wheel hub edge.
10) Adjust the motor feet bolts meticulously so that the compressor and motor centerlines align closely. The outer circle deviation should be a mere 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft. The coupling end face tolerance should range between 0.03mm and 0.05mm.
11) Upon perfect alignment, firmly tighten the motor foot bolts. Reassess both the outer circle runout and the end face runout of the coupling for consistent performance.;
12) Conclude with the installation of the coupling's intermediate section post-motor idling test, ensuring smooth operation.
3.3.4 With the casing's "levelness" and alignment perfected, secure the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, tighten the bolts once more to maintain integrity.
3.3.5 Given the high-speed rotation of the impeller, any solid or liquid intrusion could cause irreversible damage. It is imperative to maintain cleanliness in all connected inlet and outlet pipelines, adhering to the steam corrosion grade prerequisites of the system.For pipelines failing to meet standards, corrective actions are necessary. Installing solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe is advisable for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines must be fitted with appropriate accessories according to the PI diagram. Ensure that any connected pipelines are supported with an independent bracket, ensuring that no weight is borne by the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has reached its full solidity, you are ready to embark on the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet with precision within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Using threading pipe for seamless connections, route the wiring underground to maintain a tidy and safe setup. Once the electric control cabinet is firmly situated, establish a flawless connection by linking the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the remote DCS lines. This setup ensures that our cutting-edge system operates with unmatched efficiency and reliability.
