This transformed steam then becomes the reboiler heat source at the tower bottom, unlocking the potential of steam's latent heat at the tower top and optimizing energy recovery.
Our direct compression heat pump distillation leverages the vapor phase at the tower top as a dynamic working fluid. By channeling this through an advanced external steam compressor, we elevate the energy level of the vapor phase, converting it into a high-temperature powerhouse for the tower bottom reboiler. As illustrated in the accompanying figure, this method is ideal for separation systems with minimal temperature disparities and closely related boiling points between the tower top and bottom.
The centrifugal compressor at the heart of our heat pump distillation system is ingeniously designed with components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an intuitive anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 Begin the installation by positioning the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Carefully place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve a perfectly level unit.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately and secure them with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points to maintain stability once the unit is leveled.
The user must fabricate and fit the wedges based on the actual circumstances of the installation. Ensure the contact surfaces are impeccably finished for even contact of the inclined planes.
The wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a level to meticulously verify the unit's alignment. The axial level must adhere to a precision of 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should maintain a standard of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Accurate coupling centering is a must. Before proceeding with alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) Disconnect the main power supply to guarantee safety;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Confirm the motor installation plane is perfectly smooth, devoid of debris, grime, or attachments.
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts themselves, allowing room to adjust by loosening the bolts.
6) Have a sufficient stock of flat, stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor's feet. Avoid using long and thin gaskets which could compromise stability.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter, boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm, which should be sourced by the customer.
8) Prepare a robust bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated below.
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket effectively to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, and align the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Through precise adjustments of the bolts surrounding the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center line accurately. The outer circle deviation must not exceed 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and the coupling end face deviation should be between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Firmly tighten the motor foot bolts and recheck the outer circle runout and coupling end face runout to ensure exact alignment.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, carefully reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing are established, secure the anchor bolts tightly. After the system undergoes mechanical or trial operation, loosen and retighten these bolts to re-secure.
3.3.5 As the impeller functions at high speed, it is crucial to prevent any solid or liquid intrusion, which could irreparably damage the compressor. Thus, ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and adhere to the system’s steam corrosion grade requirements. Pipelines that fail to meet these standards must be promptly rectified. It is stronglyrecommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor's straight pipe inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with connecting the inlet and outlet pipes to the compressor. Ensure all import and export pipelines are equipped with appropriate accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipelines should be independently supported by another bracket to prevent the compressor body from bearing their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment of the Advanced Steam Compressor with Overall Base and Guide Vane Adjustment are expertly installed, and the concrete has reached its complete solidity, you are now ready to embark on the exciting compressor operation test. This pivotal step ensures everything is in perfect working order, unleashing the full potential of the compressor's performance.
3.3.8 For optimal operational control, position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to this cabinet should utilize threading pipes, neatly routed underground for aesthetic and safety considerations. Once the electric control cabinet is securely installed, seamlessly link the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and reliable connection that facilitates smooth, uninterrupted operation.
