Heat pump distillation is an innovative process that transforms steam at the tower's pinnacle into a superior thermal grade through external power. This sophisticated operation allows the steam to serve as a reboiler heat source at the tower's base, thereby ingeniously recovering the latent heat from the steam at the top of the tower.
Direct compression heat pump distillation ingeniously utilizes the vapor phase at the tower's summit as the working fluid. It elevates the energy level of this vapor through an external steam compressor, effectively transforming it into a high-temperature heat source for the reboiler at the tower's base. As illustrated in the accompanying diagram, this state-of-the-art technology is particularly ideal for separation systems where the top and bottom of the tower exhibit minimal temperature differences and comparable boiling points.
The centrifugal compressor designed for heat pump distillation is a marvel of engineering, featuring components like the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This compact design not only ensures efficient operation but also offers unparalleled ease of maintenance.
Leveraging compressors in this innovative process completely negates the need for external heat sources and cooling water, showcasing a leap forward in efficiency.
3.3.1 To ensure impeccable installation, place the compressor base integrally on the foundation and slide wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precise leveling.
Alternate the positioning of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is perfectly level, secure the wedges with spot welds at 4 to 5 points. These wedges should be
custom-manufactured by the user, tailored to the specific conditions. Ensure the contact surfaces are meticulously finished to allow even contact on the inclined
plane. Importantly, the bearing capacity of each wedge must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve optimal precision by using a level to ascertain the unit's level. Unit leveling demands: axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm and horizontal
level precision of 0.10/1000mm, ensuring flawless functionality.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is impeccably centered. Before commencing alignment, ensure adherence to the following prerequisites:
1) Safely turn off the main power supply;
2) Diligently remove the coupling shield;
3) Carefully detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Inspect and verify the motor installation plane, ensuring it is devoid of foreign materials, dirt, and any unwanted attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts to allow easy loosening and precise motor adjustments;
6) Equip with ample, smooth stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's foot. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and the base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a high accuracy of 0.01mm, provided by the customer;
8) Prepare the bracket as shown in the accompanying figure to adequately support the dial indicator;
9) Employ a motor hub mounting bracket for positioning the dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, with the probe on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines closely. Maximum deviation should be 0.05mm (motor shaft center higher than compressor low-speed shaft center), coupling end face deviation permissible at 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, recheck the runout of the outer circle and the end face of the coupling;
12) Upon satisfactory idle testing of the motor, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 After ensuring optimal 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, proceed to tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, re-loosen and retighten the bolts for reinforced security.
3.3.5 Due to the impeller's high-speed rotation, the ingress of any solid or liquid can inflict irreversible damage. Ensure that all pipelines connected to the compressor are impeccably clean and in accordance with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Rectify any pipeline that fails to meet these standards.Adding solid-liquid separation equipment such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet's straight pipe is highly recommended.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure import and export pipelines are fitted with necessary accessories as outlined in the PI diagram. The compressor body must not bear the weight of the connected pipelines; they require separate support from another bracket.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and all related ancillary equipment are seamlessly installed, and the concrete has fully set to ensure optimal stability, you're ready to initiate the compressor operation test. This marks a pivotal moment in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the entire system.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. For optimal safety and efficiency, the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be securely encased in a threading pipe, routed discreetly underground. After positioning the electric control cabinet, carefully connect its wiring terminals to the lines at the remote DCS to establish a robust and reliable communication pathway.
