Here's how this remarkable process works: The secondary steam produced by the evaporator undergoes compression through a high-efficiency steam compressor. This amazing transformation converts electrical energy into thermal energy, leading to an increase in both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Consequently, this elevated steam is redirected back to the evaporator to heat materials, ignite evaporation, and thereby ingeniously recycle the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel that includes pivotal components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base seamlessly on its foundation. Delicately position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect unit leveling.
Strategically alternate two wedge-shaped irons, ensuring unit leveling, and secure them by spot welding at 4 to 5 points. Each wedge is to be
crafted and installed by the user based on the specific situation. The contact surface should be finely finished for comprehensive contact across the inclined
plane. Please ensure the bearing capacity of each wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to guarantee precision. The unit's axial level must maintain a precision of 0.05/1000mm, with the horizontal
level achieving an even finer 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve flawless coupling alignment. Prioritize the following preparatory steps before commencing:
1) Ensure the main power supply is securely turned off;
2) Carefully detach the coupling shield;
3) Disassemble the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane for any debris, ensuring cleanliness and absence of foreign materials;
5) Ensure that the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt dimensions for easy motor adjustment through bolt loosening;
6) Secure a generous supply of stainless steel gaskets to adequately cover the motor base. These gaskets must be pristine and sufficiently flat; avoid using long, thin gaskets for base adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with utmost precision, at an accuracy of 0.01mm, as provisioned by the customer;
8) Ready the bracket for dial indicator support, as depicted in the accompanying visual guide;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is pivotal for affixing the dial indicator on the hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center line, ensuring the maximum outer circle deviation is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line subtly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by firmly tightening the motor foot bolts. Reassess the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for precision assurance;
12) Perform a motor idling test, and then reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the casing alignment and 'levelness' are perfected, securely tighten the anchor bolts. Following mechanical or trial operation, release and retighten the bolts for optimal integrity.
3.3.5 As the impeller operates at high speed, any intrusion of solids or liquids can inflict irreversible harm on the compressor. Thus, it is critical to maintain the cleanliness and steam corrosion grade compliance of the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor. Non-compliant pipelines must be promptly rectified.Considering the installation of solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, is advisable before the straight pipeline leading to the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure that the import and export pipelines are equipped with the necessary pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipeline connected to the compressor must be independently supported by a separate bracket, never bearing weight on the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its associated equipment is completed and the concrete has fully solidified, it is time to embark on the exciting phase of conducting the compressor operation test. This ensures that every component is functioning harmoniously and ready for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The essential wiring connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be meticulously executed using a threading pipe that runs discreetly underground. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly situated, it is crucial to ensure that the wiring terminals inside are accurately linked with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring seamless communication and control.
