The DML series low-temperature rise steam compressor is an engineering marvel, meticulously crafted with components such as a robust compressor body (featuring volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, seal, etc.), coupling, motor, and sophisticated electric instruments. Each element is designed with precision to ensure optimal performance and durability.
3.3.1 The robust compressor base should be placed integrally upon the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precise leveling.
Ensure the alternating placement of wedge-shaped irons, and once the unit is perfectly level, spot weld the irons at 4~5 strategic points. The
wedges should be crafted and installed by users to fit the unique requirements of the setup, with contact surfaces finely finished to ensure even contact
of the inclined planes. Note: the wedge iron's bearing capacity must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Perfect the leveling using a precision level. The unit's leveling criteria are as follows: the axial level tolerance is set at an impeccable 0.05/1000mm, while the
horizontal level tolerance stands at a meticulous 0.10/1000mm for flawless operation.
3.3.3 Achieve coupling alignment with precision. Prior to alignment, ensure the following prerequisites:
1) The main power supply must be completely switched off for safety;
2) Detach the protective coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling’s intermediate section safely;
4) Verify the motor installation plane’s flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and any foreign attachments;
5) The motor bolt hole should exceed the bolt size, allowing easy loosening for motor adjustment;
6) Stock adequate stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage, ensuring they are free of attachments and perfectly flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets
for adjustment. They must not be inserted between the motor and base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, to be prepared by the customer;
8) Secure a dial indicator support bracket as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) Attach the motor hub mounting bracket, facilitating the dial indicator’s placement on the compressor hub’s outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet’s bolts to align the compressor and motor center line accurately, allowing a maximum deviation of 0.05mm for the outer circle. Ensurethe motor shaft center line is slightly elevated above the compressor’s low-speed shaft center. The coupling’s end face should maintain a deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finalize by firmly fastening the motor foot bolts, and subsequently review the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling.
12) Following the idle operation test of the motor, reinstall the coupling’s intermediate section to ensure cohesiveness.
3.3.5 The impeller, being a high-speed rotational component, must remain free from any solid or liquid intrusion, as such incurs irreversible damage. Thus, ensure all
