This pressurized steam then returns to the evaporator, heating materials and inducing evaporation, thus achieving a sustainable cycle by reclaiming the latent heat of vaporization from the secondary steam.
The DML series, renowned for its low temperature rise steam compression, is an engineering masterpiece. It features a sophisticated compressor body, comprised of a volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Coupled with this are essential components such as the coupling, motor, and electric instruments, all harmoniously integrated to ensure optimal performance.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be carefully positioned on the foundation. To achieve the unit's level, insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the wedge-shaped irons with spot welds at 4-5 strategic points. These wedges should be
custom-made and installed by the user based on the actual scenario, ensuring the contact surface is smooth and even, offering flawless contact of inclined
planes. Note that the wedge iron's bearing capacity must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain perfect alignment. The leveling specifications for the unit are as follows: the axial level must be within 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level should remain at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve precise coupling centering. Prior to initiating alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) Disconnect the main power supply completely;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediary section thoroughly;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for any debris, dirt, or foreign substances to guarantee cleanliness;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole exceeds the bolt size, allowing bolt loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Adequately prepare stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor's feet. These gaskets must be free of foreign objects and perfectly flat, avoiding the use of long and slender gaskets for adjustment between the motor and base;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter boasting a precision of 0.01mm, which should be provided by the customer;
8) Arrange a bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to securely position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, inserting the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By meticulously adjusting the bolts surrounding the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines, adhering to instructions. The outer circle's maximum deviation should not surpass 0.05mm, and the motor shaft center line should be higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with coupling end face deviations of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by firmly tightening the motor foot bolts, then carefully reassess the runout and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 After fine-tuning the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, securely tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure optimal performance.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed component, is vulnerable to irreversible damage from any solid or liquid intrusion. Ensure that the pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Pipelines failing to meet these standards must be corrected. It is recommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe connected to the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 To install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, adhere to the PI diagram's specifications, incorporating essential pipeline accessories. The pipeline connected to the compressor must be supported by a separate bracket, ensuring that its weight does not bear on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Upon the secure installation of the main fan and its auxiliary equipment, and the complete solidification of the concrete, the stage is perfectly set for the exhilarating compressor operation test to commence. This pivotal moment marks the culmination of meticulous planning and precise execution, ensuring everything is in optimum condition for a seamless trial.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor is strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection is made ultra-secure by threading the wiring through a pipe that discreetly runs underground. Once the electric control cabinet is expertly placed, it is essential to precisely connect the terminal wiring within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless and efficient setup, ready to harness the full potential of this advanced system.
