3.3.1 The compressor base is to be immaculately positioned on the foundation. Place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precision leveling of the unit.
Position alternating wedge-shaped irons meticulously; level the unit, then spot weld the wedge irons at 4-5 key points. The wedge should be
custom-manufactured and installed by the user based on the actual conditions, ensuring that the contact surface is perfectly smooth, allowing
for even contact on the inclined plane, with the bearing capacity of each wedge iron not exceeding 40Kg/cm2.)
3.3.2 Employ a level tool to ascertain perfect levelness. The leveling specifications for the unit are as follows: the axial level must be 0.05/1000mm,
and the horizontal level requirement is 0.10/1000mm, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
3.3.3 Align the coupling with precision. Prior to commencing alignment, verify the following essential prerequisites:
1) Power down the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield cautiously;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section with care;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for absolute flatness, ensuring it’s free from debris, dirt, and other obstructions.
5) The motor bolt holes should be sufficiently larger than the bolts themselves, allowing bolts to be loosened for motor adjustments.
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets ready to firmly support the motor's foot; the gaskets must be free from contaminants and completely flat. Avoid using elongated and thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, to be provided by the customer.
8) Prepare the bracket as illustrated in the figure below for dial indicator support.
9) Employ the motor hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Carefully adjust the bolts around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines to be nearly identical; aim for a maximum deviation of 0.05mm on the outer circle (the motor shaft center line should ideally be higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line) and a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then recheck the outer circle runout and coupling end face runout for precision.;
12) Post-motor idling test, reattach the coupling's intermediate section securely.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of casing 'levelness' and precise alignment, anchor bolts must be tightened. After mechanical operation or trial, loosen and re-tighten these bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating element, and any solid or liquid intrusions can cause severe irreversible damage to the compressor. Thus, it is imperative that the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are impeccably clean and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade. Pipelines failing to meet these conditions must be promptly rectified. It is highlyrecommended to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment (such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) preceding the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure that the import and export pipelines are equipped with necessary pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipeline linked to the compressor should be supported independently by another bracket, ensuring its weight does not burden the compressor body.
3.3.7 After ensuring the complete installation of the main fan and its ancillary equipment, and once the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, the magnificent Steam Compressor with Split Base and Guide Vane Adjustment Capabilities is ready for its operation test. 3.3.8 For optimal performance and seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The wiring, elegantly encased in threading pipe, should be meticulously routed underground, ensuring a clean and unobtrusive setup. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, skillfully connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the remote DCS lines.
