3.3.1 To begin the installation of the compressor base, carefully position the entire unit onto a prepared foundation. Strategically place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, essential for achieving a perfectly level installation.
Utilize alternating wedge-shaped irons, ensuring the unit is level before spot welding the wedges at 4 to 5 critical points. These wedges, crafted and fitted in accordance to specific user requirements,
must have a flawlessly finished contact surface to guarantee an even inclination and robust bearing capacity.
Note: The bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed an impressive 40Kg/cm2.
3.3.2 Employ a precise leveling tool to ascertain the unit's perfect alignment. The unit must adhere to stringent leveling standards: the axial level must be within 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal level within 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Coupling alignment is paramount. Prior to initiating alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are meticulously met:
1) Securely shut off the primary power supply;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor installation plane for any debris, dirt, or obstructions;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole surpasses the bolt size, allowing for easy adjustments by loosening;
6) Gather ample stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's footing, ensuring they are pristine and impeccably flat. Avoid using elongated or slender gaskets for adjustments between the motor and its base.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter, boasting a precision accuracy of 0.01mm (users are responsible for providing this equipment);
8) Ready the specialized bracket for dial indicator support as depicted in the accompanying illustration;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator along the wheel hub's edge, precisely positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer perimeter;
10) By methodically adjusting the motor foot bolts, align the compressor and motor center lines, targeting minimal deviation with an outer circle tolerance of 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft center line is slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with the coupling face deviation held within 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Proceed to firmly secure the motor foot bolts, then rigorously verify both the outer circle runout and the coupling face runout.
12) Conclude by installing the coupling's intermediate section once a successful motor idling test is performed.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of the casing's level and alignment, anchor bolts must be tightly secured. Post-operational testing demands loosening and retightening of these bolts to ensure steadfast stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, requires pristine conditions. The entrance of any solid or liquid can lead to irreparable damage. Guaranteeing the cleanliness and adherence to steam corrosion standards of all connecting pipelines is crucial. Any non-compliant pipelines must undergo immediate rectification.Incorporating solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the straight pipe at the compressor inlet, is highly recommended for optimal safety.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. All import and export pipelines should be equipped with relevant pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. It's essential that the pipeline linked to the compressor is independently supported by a separate bracket, ensuring the compressor body bears no additional weight.
3.3.7 Following the meticulous installation of the main fan and its auxiliary equipment, and once the concrete foundation has achieved full solidity, the eagerly anticipated compressor operation test can commence. This crucial step ensures that your state-of-the-art equipment is primed for optimal performance.
3.3.8 To ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The robust and secure wiring, which connects the compressor to the electric control cabinet, should be expertly installed using threading pipe positioned underground. Once the electric control cabinet is set in place, it becomes vital to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless communication pathway.
