The DML series, a marvel in low temperature rise steam compressors, boasts a sophisticated composition. It is primarily structured around the compressor body, which includes key components like the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Alongside these, the system integrates a coupling, motor, and an array of electric instruments. Each part is meticulously designed to ensure optimal performance and reliability, making the DML series a paragon of modern engineering.
3.3.1 The compressor's base should be precisely placed on its foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling of the unit.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Upon achieving leveling, secure the wedge-shaped irons with spot welding at 4 to 5 strategic points.
It is the user's responsibility to manufacture and install the wedges based on the actual setup. Ensure that the contact surface is finished to guarantee even contact of inclined planes.

3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ascertain the unit's level. The axial leveling should achieve an accuracy of 0.05/1000 mm, while the horizontal leveling should be 0.10/1000 mm.

3.3.3 Center the coupling meticulously. Prior to alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to prevent any hazards;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield carefully;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section for better access;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is flat, devoid of any foreign objects, dirt, or attachments;
5) The motor bolt holes should be larger than the bolt size for easy loosening and adjustment of the motor;
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor's foot, ensuring they are flat and free from contaminants. Avoid using long, thin gaskets that could misalign the motor;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy, which the customer should provide;
8) Have the necessary bracket ready to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the accompanying figure;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is essential for mounting a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts with precision to align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring the maximum deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly higher than the compressor's. Maintain an end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Once alignment is achieved, tighten the motor foot bolts securely. Reassess both the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;;
12) Post motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 After adjusting the casing's levelness and ensuring alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. Following mechanical operation or trial runs, re-loosen and retighten the bolts.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed component, vulnerable to irreversible damage from any solid or liquid intrusion. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipelines are impeccably clean, meeting the stipulated steam corrosion standards. Rectify any discrepancies immediately. It's advisable to install solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe to prevent contamination.
3.3.6 When installing the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, adhere to the PI diagram for precise accessory placement. The pipeline should be independently supported by another bracket, ensuring the compressor body does not bear its weight.
3.3.7 Upon the complete solidification of concrete and installation of the main fan and ancillary equipment, proceed with the operational test of the compressor.
