The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel, featuring an intricately designed compressor body, coupled with a suite of advanced components including a coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an anti-surge control system. This compressor boasts a compact and robust structure, ensuring ease of maintenance. It embodies cutting-edge technology, offering unparalleled performance in vapor compression.
3.3.1 To begin the installation, place the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Slide wedge-shaped shims under the base to finely adjust the leveling of the unit.
Position the wedge-shaped irons in an alternate manner. Once you have achieved an accurate leveled state, spot weld the wedges at approximately 4 to 5 points. The user should
manufacture and install these wedges according to the actual conditions. Ensure that the contact surfaces are well finished to promote even contact with the inclined
plane. It's crucial that the bearing capacity of each wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ensure the unit is perfectly aligned. The precision requirements for leveling are stringent: The axial level must maintain a ratio of 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level should be kept at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling accurately. Before aligning, ensure the following checks are fulfilled:
1) Securely turn off the main power supply;
2) Detach the coupling shield for uninhibited access;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is flat and free from foreign materials, dirt, or other attachments;
5) Confirm the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts, allowing easy loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Ensure ample stainless steel gaskets are available to fully cover the motor foot. These gaskets must be devoid of any attachments and maintain a flat profile. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustment between the motor and base;
7) Equip yourself with a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (supplied by the customer);
8) Prepare the support bracket for the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's periphery, ensuring the probe touches the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet meticulously to align the compressor and motor centerlines on the same axis (or as per specific instructions). Ensure the maximum deviation of the outer circle does not exceed 0.05mm and the motor shaft centerline is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft centerline, with a coupling end face tolerance of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finalize by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, then recheck the outer circle and coupling end face runout to ensure precision.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of the casing's levelness and alignment, ensure all anchor bolts are tightened. After initial mechanical operation or trial runs, loosen and re-tighten the bolts to guarantee stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, being a high-speed rotating component, is sensitive to any solid or liquid intrusions, which can lead to irreversible damage. Thus, it is imperative to confirm that all inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion standards. Any pipeline falling short of these criteria must be promptly addressed. It's advisableto install solid-liquid separation devices, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor's inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes as per the PI diagram, ensuring all necessary pipeline accessories are in place. The connected pipeline must be supported by an independent bracket, as the compressor body should not bear the weight of the pipelines.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are flawlessly installed and the concrete has fully solidified, it's time to embark on the compressor operation test, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 For seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor is strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The wiring linking the compressor to the electric control cabinet is securely connected via a threading pipe, discreetly routed underground. Upon positioning the electric control cabinet, effortlessly connect its wiring terminals with the lines at the remote DCS, establishing a robust and efficient control system.
