3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve a perfect level alignment.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately; once the unit is leveled, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at several points for enhanced stability.
Manufacture and install the wedges according to your specific situation. Ensure the contact surfaces are finished for uniform contact on the inclined plane.
These wedges must withstand a bearing capacity no greater than 40Kg per cm².2)
3.3.2 Use a precision level to achieve impeccable alignment. The axial level requirement is 0.05mm per meter, and the horizontal level is 0.10mm per meter.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is perfectly centered. Prior to alignment, adhere to the following essential steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off.
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield for access.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section.
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring no debris or dirt is present.
5) The motor bolt holes must be larger than the bolts for easy adjustment.
6) Use ample stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's feet. They should be spotless and perfectly flat without using long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment tool (accuracy of 0.01mm), prepared by the customer.
8) Prepare a bracket to securely support the dial indicator, as illustrated below.
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach the dial indicator, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring minimal deviation (maximum of 0.05mm) and the coupling end face remains between 0.03 to 0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and inspect the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for precision.
12) Once the motor idling test is complete, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving the perfect 'levelness' and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post-operation, loosen and retighten for assurance.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating masterpiece, must be protected from any solid or liquid intrusions to avoid detrimental damage. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipelines linked to the compressor are pristine and compliant with the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification.It is recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes meticulously. Follow the PI diagram for pipeline accessory installation. Support the connected pipelines with an independent bracket, avoiding any weight strain on the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its supportive equipment are meticulously installed, and the concrete has completely settled into a firm foundation, you are ready to proceed with the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 To ensure seamless operation, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically placed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to this cabinet should be expertly laid using threading pipe, which must be routed underground for optimal safety and efficiency. Once the electric control cabinet is installed, it is essential to connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, establishing a robust and reliable control system for superior functionality.
