The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is composed of several critical components that ensure optimal performance: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electrical instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Installation Instructions

3.3.1 The compressor base is to be elegantly positioned on the prepared foundation. To ensure perfect leveling, gently place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base.
Use alternating placements of two wedge-shaped irons. Once leveled, secure the irons with a spot weld at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions. Ensure a flawlessly finished contact surface, promoting an even distribution of the inclined
plane's contact, with a wedge iron bearing capacity not exceeding an impressive 40Kg/cm
2.)
3.3.2 Elevate precision with a level to ascertain the unit's exact level. The leveling benchmarks for the unit: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm, and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous care. Prior to initiating alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) Safely turn off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the flatness of the motor installation plane, ensuring it is pristine and free of debris;
5) Motor bolt holes must exceed bolt size, allowing the bolts to be loosened for motor adjustment;
6) Amass sufficient stainless steel gaskets to provide robust coverage for the motor's foot. These gaskets must be pristine and impeccably flat. Refrain from using long, slender gaskets for adjustments between the motor and the base;
7) Equip yourself with a dial indicator or employ a laser alignment meter, boasting a remarkable accuracy of 0.01mm (procured by the customer);
8) Ready the bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the illustration below;

9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for placing a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, allowing the dial indicator probe to grace the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By finely tuning the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center line seamlessly (or as per specified instructions), ensuring the outer circle's maximum deviation is 0.05mm (keeping the motor shaft center line slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), with a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;

11) Conclusively tighten the motor foot bolts, then review the coupling's outer circle and end face runout;
12) Post motor idling test, reattach the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 With the casing's 'levelness' and alignment perfected, anchor bolts should be securely tightened. Post mechanical operation or trial run, bolts must be loosened and re-tightened to affirm steadfastness.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, demands protection against solid or liquid intrusion, which could cause irreversible harm. It's imperative to maintain the cleanliness and compliance of inlet and outlet pipelines with the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines must be rectified promptly. It's highly recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation mechanisms, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the straight pipe leading to the compressor inlet.
Install such protective measures to safeguard operations.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram for adding relevant pipeline accessories. The compressor-connected pipeline must rely on a separate bracket for support, ensuring the compressor body is unburdened by the pipeline's weight.
3.3.7 Once the majestic main fan and its sophisticated ancillary equipment are expertly installed, and the concrete foundation achieves complete solidification, the thrilling moment arrives to initiate the compressor operation test. This pivotal step ensures peak performance and reliability.
3.3.8 To ensure optimal functionality, the state-of-the-art electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The seamless connection between the compressor and the control cabinet is facilitated by an underground threading pipe, ensuring a sleek and unobtrusive setup. After securing the electric control cabinet in its designated spot, proceed to meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, guaranteeing an efficient and fluid integration.
