MVR, which stands for mechanical vapor recompression, is an innovative and energy-efficient technology designed to dramatically decrease the dependence on external power sources by ingeniously recycling energy produced by secondary steam. This cutting-edge technique operates on a core principle: the secondary steam generated by the evaporator is compressed using an advanced, high-efficiency steam compressor. This process ingeniously transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, consequently elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The increased temperature allows the secondary steam to return to the evaporator, effectively heating the materials and inducing evaporation. Through this intelligent cycle, the latent heat of vaporization from secondary steam is efficiently recycled, epitomizing sustainable energy use.
The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a sophisticated system comprising several integral components: the robust compressor body, coupling, a state-of-the-art gearbox, an efficient lubrication system, a powerful motor, precision electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This equipment boasts a compact structure, making it a space-saving solution that is not only easy to maintain but also designed for durability and reliable performance, ensuring optimal functionality.
3.3.1 Firmly position the compressor base on the foundation. Use wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precise leveling of the unit.
Carefully alternate two wedge-shaped irons to achieve perfect leveling. Once level, spot weld the irons at 4-5 points for security.
The wedges should be custom-made and installed by the user based on specific conditions. Ensure a uniformly finished contact surface.
The bearing capacity for each wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a high-precision level for accuracy. The unit requires a strict axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 For coupling, ensure accurate centering. Before beginning alignment, adhere to these essential prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Safely detach the coupling shield;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring it's free from foreign objects and dirt;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes to facilitate loosening and adjustments;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's footing, ensuring they are attachment-free and perfectly flat. Avoid using slender gaskets for adjustments.
7) Use a dial indicator or laser alignment tool with 0.01mm accuracy, provided by the customer;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted below;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, allowing precise measurement on the compressor hub's outer edge;
10) Gently adjust the bolts around the motor's feet to align the compressor and motor center lines. Ensure the maximum outer circle deviation is 0.05mm, with motor shaft center line slightly elevated over the compressor's low-speed shaft center.
11) Conclude by securing the motor foot bolts, followed by reviewing the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for precision.
12) After confirming alignment and successful motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 With casing level and alignment secured, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After operation or trials, loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 Impellers rotate at high speed and are sensitive to solid or liquid intrusion, risking compressor damage. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and compliant with system steam corrosion standards.For inferior pipelines, rectify and consider incorporating solid-liquid separation equipment, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Properly install inlet and outlet pipes with corresponding accessories according to the PI diagram. Support the pipelines using external brackets, ensuring no weight burdens the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supportive equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has reached full solidity, it's time to proceed with the exciting phase of conducting the compressor operation test.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Ensure seamless connectivity by routing the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet through a subterranean threading pipe. Once the control cabinet has been securely installed, meticulously link the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the distant DCS for a flawless integration.
