3.3.1 Begin the installation by seamlessly placing the compressor base on its designated foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for perfect leveling.
With precision, alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the irons securely at 4 to 5 strategic points.
The manufacture and installation of these wedges rest in your capable hands. Ensure they are tailored to your unique setup, with finished contact surfaces for optimal performance.
Each wedge should bear a capacity no greater than 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to achieve impeccable leveling. The unit demands an axial precision of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal precision of 0.10/1000mm for flawless operation.
Your attention to these details will ensure smooth and efficient functionality.
3.3.3 For coupling alignment, follow these pre-start checks with diligence:
1) Securely turn off the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Remove the coupling shield with care;
3) Gently detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Inspect the motor installation surface meticulously, ensuring it is free from any debris or obstructions;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are sufficiently large to allow for easy adjustment during alignment;
6) Equip yourself with immaculate stainless steel gaskets for motor foot support, avoiding long, thin gaskets for a flawless fit;
7) Employ a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment tool, boasting 0.01mm precision, brought by you for the task;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Utilize the motor hub mounting bracket for installing a dial indicator, adeptly positioning the probe along the compressor hub's outer edge;
10) By fine-tuning adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center meticulously. Maintain a maximum deviation of 0.05mm in the outer circle and respect the coupling end face tolerance of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts and meticulously reviewing the coupling's outer circle and end face runout;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of levelness and alignment, fasten the anchor bolts. Following mechanical operations, loosen and retighten them for total assurance.
3.3.5 Protect your high-speed impeller from any contaminants, as they can wreak irreversible havoc. Ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and meet the stringent steam corrosion standards.Implement robust solid-liquid separation solutions, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, to ensure a contaminant-free compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Expertly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow PI diagram guidelines and ensure pipelines are independently supported, relieving the compressor body from unnecessary weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete has fully set, you can proceed with the exciting stage of conducting the compressor operation test. This ensures everything is seamlessly integrated and ready for optimum performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For maximum safety and efficiency, connect the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet using a threading pipe that runs safely underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely installed, proceed to adeptly connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring a flawless integration of your system.
