3.3.1 Carefully position the compressor base on its foundation, using wedge-shaped shims underneath to achieve a perfectly level unit.
Skillfully alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is level, spot weld the irons at 4-5 strategic points. These wedges should be user-fabricated,
tailored to the actual setup, with meticulously finished contact surfaces to ensure seamless contact of the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of these wedges must not exceed 40 Kg/cm^2.
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ensure the unit's alignment. Compliance requirements: the unit's axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should achieve 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment. Prior to beginning, ensure these vital checks:
1) Power off the main supply completely;
2) Detach the coupling shield for unobstructed access;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling’s intermediate section;
4) Inspect the motor's installation plane for debris, ensuring it's pristine and flawless;
5) Guarantee the motor bolt hole surpasses the bolt size to allow bolt adjustments for motor alignment;
6) Stock sufficient stainless steel gaskets to support the motor foot—ensure these are devoid of attachments and flat. Refrain from using long, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (customer's responsibility);
8) Prepare a robust bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated in the diagram below;
9) Securely mount a dial indicator on the motor wheel hub, ensuring the probe measures the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub accurately;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts precisely to align the compressor and motor center lines (or per instructions), ensuring an outer circle deviation maximum of 0.05mm (the motor shaft center must be elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft), with a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Firmly secure the motor foot bolts, then double-check outer circle and end face runout of the coupling for perfection.
12) Reattach the coupling’s intermediate section post-motor idling validation.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of casing 'levelness' and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. Following any mechanical or trial operations, re-loosen and re-tighten the bolts for optimal security.
3.3.5 Protect the high-speed rotating impeller from any solid or liquid intrusion, which could cause irreversible harm. Ensure all inlet and outlet pipelines linked to the compressor are immaculate and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Address any pipeline discrepancies immediately. It's highlyrecommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation devices (such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees) before the direct pipeline leading into the compressor.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram to integrate essential pipeline accessories. Always support pipelines connected to the compressor with a separate bracket, avoiding any weight burden on the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Following the successful installation of the main fan and its ancillary equipment, and once the concrete has completely set, you are ready to proceed with the compressor operation test. This marks a significant step in ensuring peak performance of the system.
3.3.8 For optimal efficiency, position the compressor's electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection from the compressor to the control cabinet should be meticulously arranged through underground threading pipes. Once the electric control cabinet is securely positioned, seamlessly connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines extending to the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring a smooth and efficient operational flow.
