The oil-film high-speed direct drive steam compressor is an advanced piece of turbine equipment powered by a high-efficiency permanent magnet motor. Its design is elegantly simple yet sophisticated: the impeller is mounted directly onto the motor's shaft extension end. Supported by an oil film bearing, the rotor ensures a direct drive is achieved by the high-speed motor, eliminating the need for cumbersome speed increasing boxes and couplings. This streamlined approach not only enhances performance but also minimizes maintenance, positioning it as a superior choice for industrial applications requiring reliability and efficiency.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be meticulously placed on the foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure the unit is perfectly level.
Alternate the placement of the wedge-shaped irons, and once the unit is level, spot weld these wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points for stability.
Users should craft and install the wedge based on specific requirements. Ensure the contact surface is smoothly finished for optimal contact.
The inclined plane should have even contact, and the bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2.
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain precision. The unit's axial level must adhere to 0.05/1000mm, with a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with utmost care. Before commencing alignment, verify these crucial prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is switched off;
2) Detach the coupling shield;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling’s intermediate section;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for cleanliness and debris-free assurance;
5) Motor bolt holes should exceed bolt size for ease of adjustment;
6) Stock ample flat, stainless steel gaskets for motor foot support, avoiding long, thin inserts;
7) Use a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (customer-supplied);
8) Ready the bracket to support the dial indicator as the accompanying illustration indicates;
9) Mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub bracket, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines closely, keeping outer circle deviation at a max of 0.05mm.
11) Tighten the motor foot bolts, then reassess outer circle and coupling end face runout.
12) Post motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post alignment of casing levelness, securely fasten anchor bolts. Following mechanical operations, loosen and retighten them.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation means any solid or liquid entry results in damage. Ensure pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and compliant with steam corrosion standards.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes with designated accessories per the PI diagram, ensuring independent support for connected pipelines.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and equipment settle and concrete cures, proceed with the compressor operation test.
