The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a state-of-the-art apparatus comprising several key components: the compressor body, a precision-engineered coupling, a robust gearbox, an advanced lubrication system, a powerful motor, sophisticated electric instruments, and an anti-surge control system. It boasts a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and operational efficiency, making it an ideal choice for modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 To set the stage for optimal performance, securely position the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Slide wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure perfect leveling.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit reaches perfect leveling, apply spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points to secure the wedges.
Wedges should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions. Ensure the contact surfaces are expertly finished for even contact.
The inclined plane must offer seamless contact, and the wedge iron's load-bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve the utmost accuracy. The axial level of the unit must meet the exacting standard of 0.05/1000mm, with the horizontal level set at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure precise coupling alignment. Prior to alignment, adhere to these essential preparations:
1) Safeguard safety by disabling the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield for access;
3) Disassemble the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Examine the motor installation plane to ensure it's free of debris and obstructions;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes, allowing for bolt loosening during motor adjustments;
6) Secure adequate flat stainless steel gaskets for motor support, avoiding the use of long, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (provided by the customer);
8) Ready the support bracket for the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Utilize a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position the dial indicator on the hub's edge, aligning the probe with the outer compressor wheel hub;
10) Adjust the motor foot bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines, keeping the maximum outer circle deviation to 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned slightly higher than the low-speed compressor shaft. Maintain coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then reassess outer circle and coupling end face for any runout;;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Upon fine-tuning the unit's 'levelness' and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After a mechanical run or trial operation, release and retighten them for enduring stability.
3.3.5 With the impeller's high-speed rotation, it is crucial to prevent solid or liquid ingress, which could cause irreversible damage. Maintain cleanliness of inlet and outlet pipelines and ensure compliance with system steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require rectification.Consider installing solid-liquid separation devices, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight compressor inlet pipe.
3.3.6 Skillfully install compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Integrate relevant pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure pipelines connecting to the compressor are independently supported by a separate bracket, transferring no weight to the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan, along with all its ancillary equipment, is meticulously installed and the concrete has achieved full solidification, the stage is set for the commencement of the compressor operation test. This marks a pivotal moment in ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.
3.3.8 It is essential to position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a precise 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The wiring journey from the compressor to this control hub must be executed through a threading pipe, strategically routed underground for protection and efficiency. Post-installation of the electric control cabinet, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless communication link.
