The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is meticulously engineered, featuring an array of components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design boasts a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and reliability, making it an ideal choice for seamless operation in demanding environments.
3.3.1 Begin the installation by carefully placing the compressor base onto the pre-prepared foundation. Ensure to position a wedge-shaped shim beneath the base for optimal alignment.
Strategically position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the wedge-shaped irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 points.
These wedges should be crafted and installed based on your specific setup, ensuring that the contact surface is finished for even and steady contact of the inclined planes.
Please note, the bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40 Kg/cm².2).
3.3.2 Achieve precise leveling using a high-quality level. The unit's axial level should adhere to a 0.05/1000mm specification, while the horizontal level should meet a precision of 0.10/1000mm.
This meticulous attention to leveling ensures peak performance and longevity of the unit.
3.3.3 Proceed to center the coupling. Before aligning, ensure the following steps are completed flawlessly:
1) Safely turn off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify the motor installation plane for absolute cleanliness—free from stolen goods, dirt, and attachments.
5) Ensure that motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts themselves, allowing easy loosening for motor adjustments.
6) Have a ready supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor feet. These gaskets must be clean, perfectly flat, and free from any attachments. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustment.
7) Use a precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter, boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm, sourced by the customer.
8) Set up the support bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying diagram.
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to affix a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, placing the probe meticulously on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) By skillfully adjusting the bolts at the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center line to be essentially co-linear, with the outer circle deviation capped at 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft center line is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. The coupling end face should have a deviation of 0.03 to 0.05mm.
11) Once alignment is verified, securely tighten the motor foot bolts and re-evaluate both the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section after conducting a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 After confirming the precise "levelness" and alignment of the casing, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and then retighten the bolts to ensure steadfastness.
3.3.5 The impeller is a vital high-speed component. Hence, it is crucial to prevent any solid or liquid substances from entering, as they could inflict irreparable damage. Ensure the pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and compatible with the system's steam corrosion standards. Any non-compliant pipelines must be promptly rectified.We highly recommend integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, prior to the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure the import and export pipelines are equipped with the necessary accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. It's crucial that the pipelines are supported independently, with no weight borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supportive equipment are securely installed and the concrete foundation has fully set, you can initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is operating optimally and ready for action, paving the way for enhanced performance and reliability.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. Use an underground threading pipe to securely connect the compressor to the control cabinet. Once the cabinet is set up, meticulously link the wiring terminals in the control cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS. This ensures seamless integration and superior control over the system's operations.
