The core principle involves the compression of secondary steam generated by the evaporator using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, thereby elevating the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The increased temperature of the steam is then cycled back to the evaporator, where it heats materials and induces evaporation. This innovative method facilitates the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization inherent in secondary steam, thereby optimizing energy use and promoting sustainability.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, featuring a comprehensive suite of components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an intelligent anti-surge control system. Its design is not only robust but also compact, ensuring ease of maintenance and reliability in operations.
3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. To precisely adjust the unit level, wedge-shaped shims should be placed under the base in an alternating pattern.
After leveling the unit, expertly secure the wedge-shaped irons with 4 to 5 spot welds. This will ensure stability and precision.
The user is responsible for manufacturing and installing these wedges according to specific requirements. Ensure an even contact surface for the inclined plane, maintaining high precision.
The wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2, ensuring safe and effective support..
3.3.2 Employ a level to attain immaculate accuracy. The unit's axial level must be maintained at 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should be 0.10/1000mm for ultimate precision.
3.3.3 Coupling is centered. Prior to commencing alignment, please verify the following essential criteria:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely off;
2) Detach the protective coupling shield meticulously;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section with care;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is immaculate and devoid of any foreign objects or debris.
5) Motor bolt holes must exceed the bolt size to allow for easy motor adjustments;
6) Adequately prepare stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage. They must be flat and attachment-free, avoiding thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize either a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an optimal accuracy of 0.01mm for precise alignment;
8) Ready a bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted below;
9) A motor wheel hub mounting bracket is necessary for affixing a dial indicator on its edge, with the probe placed on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for fine-tuning.
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines. Aim for a maximum deviation of 0.05mm for impeccable precision (motor shaft should be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft), with coupling end face deviations between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, subsequently reviewing the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for compliance.
12) Conduct a motor idling test, then reinstall the coupling's intermediate section to conclude this stage.
3.3.4 Post alignment, secure the casing by tightening the anchor bolts. After a test run, revisit and retighten these bolts to guarantee unwavering stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, requires absolute protection from any solids or liquids, which could inflict irreversible damage. Maintain pristine inlet and outlet pipelines adhering to the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines demand immediate rectification.For added security, consider implementing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Connect the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Ensure pipeline installation aligns with PI diagram specifications. Support pipes using separate brackets to avoid burdening the compressor body with their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete base has achieved full solidification, the next remarkable step is to initiate the compressor operation test, ensuring dependable functionality and performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter range of the compressor itself. The connection between the compressor and this control cabinet should be meticulously managed through underground threading pipes. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly installed, it is vital to seamlessly connect its wiring terminals to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring flawless integration and operational efficiency.
