The ingenious basic principle leverages the secondary steam generated by the evaporator, which is then compressed with a highly efficient steam compressor. This process ingeniously transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. This heightened temperature allows the steam to return to the evaporator, where it heats the materials and induces further evaporation. This sophisticated methodology effectively recycles the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, ensuring an optimized and sustainable operation.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising a robust compressor body, an efficient coupling mechanism, a reliable gearbox, a state-of-the-art lubrication system, a high-performance motor, precision electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design showcases a compact structure, making it exceptionally convenient for maintenance operations, ensuring seamless and reliable performance.
3.3.1 Begin by securely positioning the compressor base on the foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to meticulously balance the unit.
Strategically place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 points, ensuring stability. The wedge should be
custom-made and installed by the user, tailored to specific conditions. Ensure the contact surface is impeccably finished for even contact with the inclined plane,
while keeping the wedge iron's bearing capacity within a safe limit of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to accurately ascertain the unit's level. Adhere to these leveling standards: the unit's axial level precision must be 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level must be maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure optimal alignment of the coupling. Prior to alignment, verify the following prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section delicately;
4) Examine the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) The motor bolt hole dimensions should exceed the bolt size, allowing easy bolt loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Assemble ample stainless steel gaskets to stabilize the motor's footing. Ensure gaskets remain free of attachments and are perfectly flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment tool with a 0.01mm accuracy, which must be supplied by the customer;
8) Provide a suitable bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated below;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to mount a dial indicator, placing its probe precisely on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet bolts meticulously to align the compressor and motor center lines closely (or follow specific instructions). Limit the outer circle deviation to 0.05mm and the coupling end face to 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then reassess the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Tighten the anchor bolts once the casing's levelness and alignment have been adjusted, after either mechanical or trial operation. Subsequently, loosen and retighten the bolts.
3.3.5 The impeller, operating at high speeds, is vulnerable to damage from solid or liquid intrusions. Ensure the compressor's inlet and outlet pipelines are clean and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards. Rectify any pipelines failing to meet these requirements.Incorporating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe is highly recommended.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Equip these pipelines with necessary accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure these pipelines are independently supported and not burdening the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential auxiliary equipment are securely installed and the concrete has reached full solidification, it's time to proceed with the exciting next step: conducting the compressor operation test. This is where the magic happens as you ensure your system is running smoothly and efficiently.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a mere 5 meters of the compressor itself. To ensure a clean and organized setup, the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet must be expertly connected using threading pipe, which should be routed underground to maintain a sleek appearance. Once the electric control cabinet is firmly in place, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
