The DM Series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, incorporating a meticulously crafted compressor body, a robust coupling, a dynamic gearbox, and a state-of-the-art lubrication system. Its powerhouse motor is complemented by an advanced electric instrument and a sophisticated anti-surge control system, all harmoniously integrated into a compact design that simplifies maintenance. 3.3.1 Position the compressor base seamlessly on the foundation. Introduce wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for meticulous unit leveling.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately to ensure perfect leveling. Secure these irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points.
The wedges should be crafted and installed by the user to suit specific conditions, ensuring a flawless contact surface for stability.
The inclined plane must have even contact, with a wedge iron bearing capacity that must not exceed 40Kg/cm²..
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve impeccable leveling. Unit leveling standards: axial level at 0.05/1000mm and horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm.
Maintain these precise leveling requirements for optimal performance and efficiency.
3.3.3 Ensure coupling is perfectly centered. Prior to alignment, verify these essential prerequisites:
1) Disengage the main power supply to ensure safety and prevent accidents;
2) Detach the coupling shield carefully to access the components;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for clear alignment access;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring it's clear of debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes for easy loosening and motor adjustment flexibility;
6) Have ample, spotless stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor, ensuring no debris and a flat surface for optimal adjustment;
7) Utilize a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter (precision of 0.01mm), prepared by the customer;
8) Prepare a supporting bracket for the dial indicator, as depicted in the subsequent figure.
9) Employ a hub mounting bracket for dial indicator placement at the compressor wheel hub's edge, ensuring precise readings.
10) Fine-tune motor foot adjustment bolts to align compressor and motor center lines, maintaining a maximum deviation of 0.05mm.
11) Secure the motor foot bolts, then review outer circle and coupling end face runout for precision..
12) Post-motor idling test, install the coupling intermediate section to ensure complete setup.
3.3.4 After achieving perfect casing levelness and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, retighten bolts for assurance.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed component. Any solid or liquid entry can severely damage the compressor. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and meet steam corrosion grade specifications. Rectify pipelines that fail to comply.It's recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for enhanced safety.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes with necessary pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure pipelines are supported by separate brackets, avoiding any weight burden on the compressor body for longevity.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and all supporting apparatus are securely installed and the concrete base has completely cured, it's time to embark on the exhilarating compressor operation test.
3.3.8 To ensure optimal performance and safety, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The electrical wiring must be expertly linked from the compressor to the control cabinet through underground threading pipes. Once the control cabinet is firmly stationed, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the distant DCS lines.
