MVR, an acronym for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is a groundbreaking energy-saving technology that significantly reduces the reliance on external energy sources. It operates by ingeniously reusing the secondary steam energy it generates. At its core, this technology involves compressing the secondary steam, produced by the evaporator, using a high-energy-efficiency steam compressor. This innovative process converts electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The elevated steam is then redirected back to the evaporator, where it heats materials and induces evaporation, thus achieving a remarkable recycling process of the latent heat of vaporization found in secondary steam.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising key components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, and an advanced electric instrument with an anti-surge control system. Not only does it boast a compact structure, but it is also designed for ease of maintenance, ensuring robust performance and reliability.
3.3.1 Installation begins with the compressor base being seamlessly placed on the foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve a perfectly level unit.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is level, secure the wedges by spot welding them at four to five points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user based on the real-world conditions, ensuring an even contact on the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity must not surpass 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve the required level. Levelling specifications are: the unit's axial level must be at 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level should adhere to 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure centering of the coupling. Confirm the following prerequisites before alignment:
1) Deactivate the main power source;
2) Detach the coupling shield;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's smoothness—free from foreign materials, grime, or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts, allowing flexibility to loosen and realign the motor;
6) Equip with ample stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage. These must be free from contaminants and perfectly flat; avoid inserting lengthy, slender gaskets for adjustment;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter, boasting a precision of 0.01mm, which is to be supplied by the customer;
8) Arrange a support bracket for the dial indicator as depicted below;
9) Utilize the motor's wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator along the wheel hub edge, ensuring the probe touches the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust surrounding motor foot bolts to mostly align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring the outer circle deviation doesn't exceed 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center being slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft. The coupling end face deviation should be 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Firmly fasten the motor foot bolts and verify the runout of the outer circle and coupling end face;
12) Post the motor's idle operation test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 After calibrating the casing's 'levelness' and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. Following mechanical or trial operations, release and then retighten the bolts for ensured stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed component, vulnerable to any solid or liquid intrusion, which could cause significant damage to the compressor. Thus, maintaining cleanliness at both the inlet and outlet pipelines, ensuring they meet the steam corrosion standards of the system, is imperative. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification.It is advisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the straight pipe at the compressor inlet for optimal safety.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor inlet and outlet pipelines. Adhere to the PI diagram for installation of relevant pipeline accessories. Note that the pipelines must be supported by separate brackets, ensuring the compressor body is not burdened by the pipeline's weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its accompanying equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has reached its full solidification, you are all set to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is in prime working condition before full operation.
3.3.8 Ensure that the electric control cabinet for the compressor is strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor for optimal efficiency. The wiring should be seamlessly connected through an underground threading pipe, ensuring both safety and aesthetics. Once the electric control cabinet is positioned, make sure to connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS for seamless system integration.
