The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a remarkable engineering feat, featuring a comprehensive lineup of components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design is ingeniously compact, ensuring that maintenance is not only feasible but also highly convenient. This assembly reflects a harmonious blend of cutting-edge technology and practical functionality, making it an indispensable asset in any modern industrial setup.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be seamlessly placed on the foundation. To ensure impeccable leveling, insert wedge-shaped shims underneath the base.
Place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating sequence. Once the unit has achieved perfect level, perform spot welding on the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 key points.
The user should manufacture and install these wedges, tailored to their actual situation. Ensure that the contact surface is precisely finished for uniform contact.
The bearing capacity of these wedges should not exceed 40Kg/cm to maintain optimal stability.2).
3.3.2 Employ a high-precision level to ascertain the unit’s exact leveling. The unit's axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should be maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
These specifications ensure operational excellence and durability.
3.3.3 Centering the coupling is crucial. Before embarking on alignment, verify these essential prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield to access the internal components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section for thorough inspection;
4) Confirm the motor installation surface is impeccably smooth, free from debris or contaminants;
5) The motor bolt holes should exceed the bolt size, facilitating easy adjustments to the motor position;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's base evenly. These gaskets must be pristine and flat, avoiding the use of long or slender gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with exquisite precision of 0.01mm, which the customer should provide;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) Mount a dial indicator on the motor wheel hub's edge, ensuring the probe accurately scans the outer circumference of the compressor wheel hub;
10) Fine-tune the adjustment bolts located around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines precisely. The outer circle’s maximum deviation should be 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts. Double-check the outer circle runout and coupling end face runout for accuracy.;
12) After conducting a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling’s intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment, once the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing are confirmed, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After the initial mechanical operation or trial run, relax the bolts and re-tighten them to ensure maximal security.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed, precision-engineered component. Any solid or liquid intrusion can cause significant damage, so it’s critical to guarantee the cleanliness of the inlet and outlet pipelines. These must meet the system's stringent steam corrosion resistance standards.If pipelines do not meet these conditions, immediate rectification is essential. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Carefully install the compressor’s inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram for incorporating necessary pipeline accessories. Crucially, support the pipeline with a separate bracket to prevent any weight burden on the compressor.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential auxiliary equipment are expertly installed, and the concrete base has reached full solidity, you can proceed with conducting a comprehensive compressor operation test. This step ensures the system's readiness and reliability for efficient performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For optimal safety and functionality, the wiring connecting the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be securely threaded through underground pipes. Once the electric control cabinet is accurately positioned, seamlessly connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the corresponding lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring a robust and integrated operational setup.
