The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a remarkable cornerstone of engineering, comprising a robust compressor body, a precision-engineered coupling, a reliable gearbox, and an efficient lubrication system. It is powered by a robust motor and is equipped with sophisticated electric instruments and an advanced anti-surge control system. This innovative design is not only compact in structure but also exemplifies convenience when it comes to maintenance. With its streamlined form and cutting-edge features, it stands as a testament to modern ingenuity and practicality.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be placed integrally on the foundation. Use wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to meticulously adjust the unit to its precise level.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 points for enhanced stability. These wedges should be
fabricated and installed by the user to suit the actual conditions. Ensure the contact surface is impeccably finished for even contact on the inclined
plane, and make sure the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to ensure accuracy. The leveling specifications for the unit are demanding: the axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level must be maintained at 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with precision. Before beginning alignment, ensure compliance with the following prerequisites:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane to be free from foreign particles, dirt, or any attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is larger than the bolt size, allowing the bolt to be loosened for motor adjustments;
6) Have a sufficient supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's base. These gaskets should be devoid of attachments and perfectly flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets that might slide between the motor and base during adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (this should be supplied by the customer);
8) Have a bracket ready for supporting the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is essential for situating a dial indicator on the hub's edge, enabling precise placement of the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor centerlines precisely (or as per designated instructions), ensuring the maximum deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm. Note: The motor shaft center should be higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center, with coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then verify the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for accuracy;
12) Once the motor idling test is complete, reinstall the coupling intermediate section for optimal operation.
3.3.4 After adjusting the casing's 'levelness' and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation (or trial operation), loosen and retighten them to ensure secure fastening.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed component, and any solid or liquid intrusion could cause irreparable harm to the compressor. Thus, it's crucial to maintain cleanliness in the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor, ensuring they meet the steam corrosion grade requirements of the system. Any non-compliant pipelines must be corrected. It isrecommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the straight pipe at the compressor inlet to enhance system integrity.
3.3.6 Install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Follow the PI diagram for installing relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure the pipelines attached to the compressor are supported by a separate bracket, never relying on the compressor body to bear their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its associated ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete foundation has fully set, you can confidently proceed with the compressor operation test. This marks a pivotal step in ensuring system robustness and efficiency.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection between the compressor and the electric control cabinet should be elegantly managed via a threading pipe, discreetly routed underground. After positioning the electric control cabinet, meticulously link the wiring terminals within it to the remote DCS lines, ensuring seamless integration and control.
