MVR, an acronym for mechanical vapor recompression, is a revolutionary energy-saving technology designed to significantly reduce the need for external energy sources by cleverly reutilizing secondary steam energy that it generates. At its core, this technology operates on the principle that secondary steam produced by the evaporator is efficiently compressed using a high-energy efficiency steam compressor. This process ingeniously transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, boosting both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. This elevated secondary steam is then ingeniously channeled back to the evaporator to heat materials and induce evaporation, thereby achieving an innovative recycling of the latent heat of vaporization inherent in the secondary steam.
The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising critical components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. It boasts a compact, streamlined structure that not only enhances performance but also simplifies maintenance, ensuring that operational efficiency is maintained with ease.
3.3.1 The compressor base is seamlessly placed on the foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure impeccable leveling of the unit.
Place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion, ensuring perfect leveling. Secure them with spot welds at 4 to 5 points. The wedges are to be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions. The contact surface should be finely finished for uniform contact on the inclined
plane. Note that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to ensure exact leveling standards. The unit's axial level must adhere to 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level must meet a stringent standard of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Precise coupling alignment is crucial. Prior to initiating alignment, verify the following prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is securely turned off;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Confirm that the motor installation surface is immaculate, free from debris and extraneous materials;
5) The motor bolt holes must exceed bolt sizes, allowing for bolt loosening to finely adjust the motor;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets ready to cover the motor foot, devoid of attachments and adequately flat. Avoid using long, slender gaskets for adjustments between the motor and the base;
7) Employ a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment tool, with a precision of 0.01mm (customer-provided);
8) Prepare the necessary bracket to support the dial indicator as demonstrated in the illustration below;
9) Utilize the motor hub mounting bracket to affix a dial indicator on the hub's edge, placing the indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer rim;
10) Achieve alignment by adjusting bolts around the motor feet until the compressor and motor center lines are virtually identical (or as per specific instructions), ensuring a maximum deviation of 0.05mm on the outer circle (motor shaft center line should be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line); coupling end face deviation should remain between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts and verify the coupling's outer circle and end face runout;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section post motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of "levelness" and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and retighten the bolts for optimal security.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed marvel, vulnerable to any solid or liquid intrusion which can cause irreversible harm to the compressor. Therefore, it's imperative that the inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines must be rectified. It'srecommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines must integrate relevant accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. Ensure that the pipeline connected to the compressor is individually supported by an external bracket, as its weight should not burden the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and its support equipment are securely installed and the concrete has reached full solidity, the exhilarating journey of testing the compressor's operation can commence.
3.3.8 The sophisticated electrical control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. To ensure seamless connectivity, the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet must be enclosed in a threading pipe and run subterraneously. Upon situating the control cabinet, link the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless integration.
