MVR, known formally as Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is a revolutionary, energy-conserving technology, designed to dramatically cut down on external energy consumption. It ingeniously does this by harnessing and repurposing the secondary steam energy it produces. At its core, this technology operates on the principle that the secondary steam output from the evaporator is compressed using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process effectively transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Once enhanced, the steam is redirected back to the evaporator, acting as a heat source for materials, thus facilitating evaporation. Through this method, the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam is ingeniously recycled.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor stands out with its exceptional engineering, primarily comprising a meticulously crafted compressor body, which includes key components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Additionally, it is equipped with coupling, motor, and state-of-the-art electric instruments. Together, these components form a powerhouse of efficiency and robust performance, making it an indispensable asset in energy-saving steam applications.
3.3.1 To ensure optimal performance and stability, the compressor's integrally designed base must be carefully positioned on the foundation. Use wedge-shaped shims to precisely adjust the unit’s level,
placing two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the wedge-shaped irons by spot welding at 4 to 5 critical points. The bespoke wedges
should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific environmental conditions. The contact surfaces must be finished to ensure flawless engagement (ensuring the inclined
plane is uniformly in contact). The wedge iron’s bearing capacity must not exceed an impressive 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain the unit’s perfect alignment. The exemplary leveling standards required are: axial level precision at 0.05/1000mm, and horizontal
level precision at an impressive 0.10/1000mm, ensuring superior operational efficiency.
3.3.3 Centering the coupling is crucial for seamless operation. Prior to commencing alignment, verify these key prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off for safety;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section efficiently;
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane to confirm it is devoid of foreign materials, dirt, and unnecessary attachments, ensuring a pristine surface;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size, allowing ease of loosening for precise motor adjustment;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets ready to firmly underlay the motor feet, ensuring flatness and cleanliness, and avoid inserting long, thin gaskets between motor and base;
7) Employ a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a stunning accuracy of 0.01mm, which the customer should acquire;
8) Acquire a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to strategically position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, with the probe placed on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By meticulously adjusting the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines seamlessly. The maximum permissible deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm (with the motor's shaft center line elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft), maintaining coupling end face precision at 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finally, securely fasten the motor foot bolts, and meticulously verify the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout for impeccable alignment;
12) After a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section with precision.
3.3.4 Upon achieving optimal 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, the anchor bolts must be rigorously tightened. Post mechanical operation or trial operation, it is critical to loosen and retighten these bolts, securing enduring reliability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, requires absolute protection from any solid or liquid intrusion, as these could inflict irreversible harm on the compressor. Thus, ensuring that the connected inlet and outlet pipelines are immaculate and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards is paramount. Non-compliant pipelines necessitate immediate rectification. It's advisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Swiftly install the compressor’s inlet and outlet pipes as per the PI diagram, ensuring all relevant pipeline accessories are in place. The pipelines interfacing with the compressor must be supported by an independent bracket to prevent any weight burden on the compressor body itself, safeguarding its longevity and performance.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and its supplementary equipment are fully set up and the concrete foundation has completely solidified, the next step is to commence the compressor operation test. This ensures that everything is functioning smoothly and efficiently.
3.3.8 For optimal performance and safety, the compressor's electric control cabinet should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection between the compressor and the electric control cabinet must be securely executed using threading pipe, which is recommended to be laid underground for protection and durability. Once the electric control cabinet is properly positioned, ensure to meticulously connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) for seamless integration and control.
