3.3.1 Begin by securely positioning the compressor base on its foundation. Slide wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve a perfectly balanced unit level.
Strategically alternate two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is level, apply spot welds at 4 to 5 key points to solidify the arrangement. The wedge should be
crafted and installed by the user in accordance with the specific situation, ensuring a refined contact surface for even engagement of the inclined
plane. Note, the wedge iron should not exceed a formidable bearing capacity of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to perfect the alignment. The precision requirements for the unit level: The axial level precision is set at 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level precision is set at 0.10/1000mm, ensuring flawless operation.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling centering by adhering to the following preparatory steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is securely turned off;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to expose necessary components;
3) Gently detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for a pristine, debris-free surface, ensuring no dirt or attachments are present;
5) The motor's bolt holes should be adequately sized, allowing bolt loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Stock up on stainless steel gaskets to envelop the motor foot, ensuring they are clean and undeniably flat. Avoid using elongated, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter boasting a precision of 0.01mm (to be arranged by the customer);
8) Prepare a robust bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the illustrative figure below;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is specifically designed to mount a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, allowing the dial indicator probe to trace the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub;
10) Adjust the motor feet’s adjustment bolts to closely align the compressor and motor center lines (or follow specific instructions), maintaining a maximum deviation of 0.05mm on the outer circle (ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly elevated over the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), with coupling end face deviation ranging between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finalize by tightening the motor foot bolts, then meticulously review both the outer circle runout and the end face runout of the coupling;
12) Successfully reinstall the coupling intermediate section post the motor's idle test.
3.3.4 Following the meticulous adjustment of 'levelness' and alignment, secure the anchor bolts thoroughly. After the mechanical (or trial) operation, loosen and re-tighten the bolts to ensure unwavering stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a component of high-speed precision, demands a pristine environment free from solid or liquid intrusions that could cause irreversible harm to the compressor. It is imperative that all inlet and outlet pipelines meet the strict steam corrosion standards of the system. Any pipelines failing to meet these standards must undergo immediate rectification. We recommend installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe enters the compressor.This addition will effectively safeguard against potential damage.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure that import and export pipelines are equipped with the relevant pipeline accessories as indicated by the PI diagram. Significantly, the pipeline connected to the compressor must be supported by an independent bracket, ensuring that its weight does not burden the compressor body, thus optimizing operational efficiency.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan along with its supplementary apparatus is securely installed and the concrete has fully set and solidified, it's time to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures the integrity and functionality of the system, paving the way for seamless operations.
3.3.8 The compressor's electric control cabinet should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor for optimal performance. Ensure that the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet is neatly encased in a threading pipe, traveling underground to maintain aesthetic and safety standards. Once the electric control cabinet is securely positioned, connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, achieving a harmonious integration for efficient operational control.
