The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of modern engineering, encompassing a comprehensive array of components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Designed with a focus on compactness, this compressor is as easy to maintain as it is to operate, promising seamless integration and long-lasting performance. 3.3.1 The compressor base should be meticulously positioned on the foundation, with wedge-shaped shims placed beneath the base for precise leveling of the unit. These shims ensure that the unit is adjusted to absolute precision,
position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Once the unit is leveled, skillfully spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. The wedges should be
custom-crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific on-site conditions. The contact surface must be professionally finished for even contact on the inclined
plane, ensuring the wedge iron bears no more than 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ensure accuracy. The unit's leveling requirements are exacting: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 The coupling must be flawlessly centered. Prior to commencing alignment procedures, confirm adherence to the following critical steps:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield to allow for adjustments;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Inspect the flatness of the motor installation surface, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, or any foreign material;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size, allowing the bolts to be loosened for precise motor adjustments;
6) Prepare a sufficient number of stainless steel gaskets for motor footing coverage. The gaskets must be pristine and perfectly flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for insertion between the motor and base;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a high accuracy of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Assemble the bracket as depicted below to support the dial indicator;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator on the hub's edge, placing the indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet meticulously, ensuring the compressor and motor center lines align perfectly (or follow specified instructions). The maximum allowable outer circle deviation is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Coupling end face deviation should be maintained within 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then meticulously re-evaluate the outer circle runout and coupling end face runout,;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idle test.
3.3.4 Following the flawless adjustment of the casing's 'levelness' and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After mechanical operation or trial runs, it is crucial to loosen and then re-tighten the bolts for optimal performance.
3.3.5 The impeller, as a high-speed rotating component, must remain free of any solid or liquid intrusion, which could irreversibly damage the compressor. To safeguard the system, ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines connecting to the compressor are impeccably clean and conform to the steam corrosion grade standards. Pipelines failing to meet these rigorous standards require rectification. It is highlyrecommended to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet to maintain system integrity.
3.3.6 For the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes, ensure the inclusion of relevant pipeline accessories as specified in the PI diagram. The pipeline connecting to the compressor must be supported by an independent bracket to prevent any weight bearing on the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Upon the full installation of the main fan and its auxiliary devices, accompanied by the complete solidification of the concrete foundation, the compressor is primed for an operational test. This vital phase ensures all components work seamlessly together, reflecting our commitment to precision and excellence.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. To ensure a flawless connection, the wiring from the compressor to the cabinet should be neatly threaded through an underground pipe. Once the electric control cabinet is securely installed, it is essential to meticulously link the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring an uninterrupted and efficient communication flow.
