The DM Series Single-Stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, encompassing a sophisticated array of components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Not only is it built with a compact structure that optimizes space utilization, but it also ensures unparalleled convenience in maintenance. This design philosophy underscores a commitment to providing a seamless user experience, where functionality meets ease of use in a compact yet powerful package.
3.3.1 The compressor base, an integral component of the system, should be carefully placed on a solid foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims to precisely adjust the unit's level.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the irons with spot welding at 4 to 5 strategic points.
Users are responsible for manufacturing and installing the wedges based on actual conditions. Ensure that the contact surfaces are well-finished for even contact.
The inclined plane must make smooth contact, and the load capacity of each wedge iron should not exceed 40 Kg/cm²..
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to find the absolute level. Adhere to stringent leveling standards: the axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal level should be 0.10/1000mm.
Meet these high standards to guarantee optimal performance and functionality.
3.3.3 Coupling alignment is critical. Before initiating alignment, ensure that the following preconditions are met:
1) Disconnect the main power supply to ensure safety.
2) Dismantle the coupling shield for easy access.
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section prudently.
4) Verify the flatness of the motor installation plane, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments.
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt size, facilitating motor adjustments by loosening bolts.
6) Ready a sufficient supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor feet, ensuring they are free of attachments and adequately flat. Refrain from using long, thin gaskets for adjustment.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, as prepared by the customer.
8) Prepare a robust bracket to support the dial indicator, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket facilitates the dial indicator's attachment to the wheel hub's edge, allowing precise measurement on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the alignment bolts around the motor feet to synchronize the compressor and motor center lines (or as per relevant instructions). Ensure the maximum deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line being higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation is 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then recheck both outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling; this step ensures top-notch precision.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section to complete the process.
3.3.4 Post alignment and levelness adjustments of the casing, fasten the anchor bolts firmly. After a trial run, slightly loosen and retighten them for optimal stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed, precision component. Any solid or liquid intrusion could lead to irreversible damage. Therefore, ensure that all pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and adhere to the steam corrosion specifications of the system. Pipelines failing to meet these criteria must be promptly rectified. To safeguard the system,consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 When installing compressor inlet and outlet pipes, ensure the integration of necessary pipeline accessories, as detailed in the PI diagram. Support pipelines using independent brackets, avoiding any load on the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its associated equipment have been securely installed and the concrete has fully cured, it's time to initiate the compressor operation test. This ensures optimal performance and reliability, ready to meet the demands of your industry with unparalleled efficiency.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Ensure seamless connectivity by utilizing threading pipe to run the wiring underground, linking the compressor to the electric control cabinet. After positioning the electric control cabinet, connect its wiring terminals to the remote DCS lines to ensure flawless communication and operation.
