The DM Series Single-Stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, thoughtfully designed for optimal performance and ease of maintenance. Its sophisticated structure includes an array of components such as the robust compressor body, precision coupling, efficient gearbox, and a reliable lubrication system. Additionally, it features a powerful motor, advanced electric instrumentation, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. This compact yet comprehensive design ensures that the compressor is not only efficient but also remarkably easy to maintain, making it a quintessential component for modern industrial processes.
3.3.1 Begin by gracefully positioning the compressor base as one complete unit onto the firm foundation. Elegantly place wedge-shaped shims underneath the base—these will serve the essential role of adjusting the unit to perfect level.
Artfully interlace two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once the unit reaches the desired level, execute a spot weld on the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. The wedge should be
crafted and installed by the user, precisely tailored to the specific circumstances present. Ensure that the contact surface is flawlessly finished, allowing for even contact of the inclined
plane. It is crucial that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to achieve exact leveling. The unit must adhere to leveling requirements: the axial level at 0.05/1000mm precision, and the horizontal
level of the unit should be maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Properly center the coupling with utmost precision. Prior to initiating alignment, ensure all of the following prerequisites are met:
1) Securely turn off the main power supply;
2) Meticulously remove the coupling shield;
3) Carefully extract the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Scrutinize the flatness of the motor installation surface, making certain that it is free from extraneous debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolt size, allowing the bolts to be loosened for motor adjustment;
6) Amass an ample collection of stainless steel gaskets to secure the motor's footing, ensuring the gaskets remain unblemished and perfectly flat. Avoid utilizing elongated, slender gaskets to adjust between the motor and the base;
7) Use either a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an exceptional accuracy of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare the supportive bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated in the schematic below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, aligning the dial indicator probe on the outer rim of the compressor wheel hub;
10) Adjust the fine adjustment bolts around the motor feet, ensuring the compressor and motor center line are aligned as closely as possible (or as per specific instructions), with a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm (the motor shaft center line should be slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), and a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Conclusively, secure the motor foot bolts and verify the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for precision.;
12) Post completion of a motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section to finalize the procedure.
3.3.4 Following the fine-tuning of 'levelness' and casing alignment, diligently tighten the anchor bolts. After mechanical operation or a trial run, systematically loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure steadfast stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed marvel, a rotating component of utmost precision. Any introduction of solid or liquid into the impeller can inflict irreversible damage upon the compressor. Thus, it is imperative to guarantee that the inlet and outlet pipelines attached to the compressor are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Pipelines failing to meet these standards must be promptly rectified. It is highlyrecommended to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor inlet's straight piping to secure optimal operation.
3.3.6 Confidently install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes. The import and export pipelines are to be fitted with corresponding pipeline accessories in accordance with the PI diagram. Support the pipeline connected to the compressor with an auxiliary bracket, clearly ensuring that its weight is never borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete has reached full solidity, it is time to embark on the crucial compressor operation test. This stage marks a significant milestone, ensuring that all systems are primed and ready for optimal functionality.
3.3.8 For seamless operational efficiency, position the compressor's electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter radius of the unit. Ensure a robust connection by threading the wiring through underground pipes to establish a secure link. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly placed, proceed to connect the wiring terminals inside it with the lines extending to the remote DCS, facilitating a streamlined and efficient operation.
