The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel, primarily composed of the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, sophisticated electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design is not only compact but also prioritizes user convenience, making maintenance a breeze.
3.3.1 For optimal performance, the compressor base should be firmly placed on the prepared foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. After ensuring the unit is level, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points.
The wedges should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions. Ensure the contact surface is finely finished for even contact.
Be mindful that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2). This detail is crucial for stable operation.
3.3.2 Employ a level to attain precise leveling of the unit. The stringent leveling standards require an axial level of 0.05/1000mm.
The horizontal level must not deviate beyond 0.10/1000mm, ensuring seamless functionality.
3.3.3 Align the coupling center with meticulous attention. Confirm the prerequisites before commencing alignment:
1) Deactivate the main power supply completely for safety.
2) Remove the protective coupling shield to access the components.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate adjustments.
4) Verify the motor installation surface is devoid of foreign matter and contaminants.
5) The motor bolt holes should be sufficiently large to allow bolt loosening for motor adjustments.
6) Equip yourself with ample stainless steel gaskets for the motor's foot support; ensure they are clean and perfectly flat, avoiding the use of long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Use a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment tool, with precision down to 0.01mm.
8) Have a bracket ready to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying figure.
9) Utilize the motor hub mounting bracket for dial indicator placement on the wheel hub's edge, ensuring a precise reading.
10) By skillfully adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines almost perfectly, adhering to a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm.
11) Conclude by securing the motor foot bolts and revisiting the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling for verification.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reattach the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 With the 'levelness' and alignment finely tuned, proceed to tighten the anchor bolts. Post-operation, loosen and re-tighten them for enhanced stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, must be protected from solids or liquids, as they can inflict irreversible damage. Maintain cleanliness of pipelines connected to the compressor, ensuring they meet the system's steam corrosion standards.Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet to safeguard the system.
3.3.6 Strategically install inlet and outlet pipes for the compressor, following the PI diagram guidelines. All connected pipelines should be independently supported, relieving the compressor body of undue weight burden.
3.3.7 Once the main fan, along with its supportive equipment, has been impeccably installed and the concrete has reached complete solidity, you are ready to embark on the exhilarating phase of the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures the seamless functioning of your equipment, setting the stage for unrivaled performance in pharmaceutical wastewater treatment.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For enhanced safety and efficiency, the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be expertly connected using threading pipe that is securely laid underground. Once the electric control cabinet is meticulously set in place, the next vital step is to connect the wiring terminals in the control cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and reliable operational network.
