MVR, which stands for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is a groundbreaking energy-saving technology engineered to significantly diminish the reliance on external energy sources. This innovative process cleverly reutilizes the energy inherent in secondary steam, a byproduct of its own generation. At the heart of MVR is a simple yet powerful principle: the secondary steam produced by the evaporator is expertly compressed using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process ingeniously transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The result? The enhanced steam cycles back to the evaporator, effectively heating the materials and driving evaporation once again. This cyclical process masterfully recycles the latent heat of vaporization, optimizing energy efficiency and promoting sustainability.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is an exceptionally engineered system, primarily consisting of a meticulously designed compressor body, which includes components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, seal, and more. Additionally, it incorporates a coupling, a robust motor, and a sophisticated electric instrument setup. Each element is precision-crafted to ensure optimal performance and reliability, making the DML series an ideal choice for efficient steam compression with minimal temperature elevation.
3.3.1 Begin by integrally placing the compressor base precisely on the foundation, ensuring it is perfectly level with the aid of wedge-shaped shims, strategically positioned to finely adjust the unit's level.
Place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Upon achieving perfect leveling, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points. It is imperative that
users manufacture and install the wedges tailored to their specific needs, ensuring a flawlessly finished contact surface for even distribution of forces on the inclined
plane. Importantly, the load-bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2.
3.3.2 Employ a high-precision level to ascertain the unit's alignment. It's crucial that the axial level adheres to a tolerance of 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should meet a precise
specification of 0.10/1000mm, ensuring impeccable alignment and operational efficiency.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect central alignment of the coupling. Prior to commencing this critical procedure, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) Deactivate the main power supply entirely to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield for unobstructed access;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane for absolute flatness, ensuring it is devoid of any debris, dirt, or unwanted materials;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts to facilitate easy loosening and motor adjustment;
6) Accumulate ample quantities of stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's feet; these gaskets must be impeccably flat and free from attachments. Avoid using long, thin gaskets between the motor and base for any adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm precision, which should be procured by the customer for optimal measurement;
8) Prepare a stable bracket for the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Utilize a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator on the hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for precise measurement;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet meticulously to align the compressor and motor centerline perfectly (or follow specific instructions), ensuring the outer circle's maximum deviation is within 0.05mm. The motor shaft's centerline should be slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft centerline, with the coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Once alignment is perfected, tighten the motor foot bolts securely and reassess the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling to confirm precision..
12) Conclude by reinstalling the coupling's intermediate section post successful motor idling test, ensuring seamless operation.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, anchor bolts should be tightened comprehensively. After initial mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure enduring stability.
3.3.5 Since the impeller operates at high speed, any solid or liquid intrusion can cause severe, irreversible damage to the compressor. Thus, it's critical to maintain the compressor's inlet and outlet pipelines in pristine condition, adhering to the required steam corrosion standards. Any pipelines falling short of these standards must be modified. We recommend installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor's inlet for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. The import and export pipelines should incorporate all necessary pipeline accessories as detailed in the PI diagram. Ensure that the pipeline connected to the compressor is supported by an independent bracket, thereby preventing its weight from imposing on the compressor body itself, preserving its structural integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan along with its ancillary equipment has been meticulously installed and the concrete has fully solidified, it's time to embark on the compressor operation test. This crucial phase ensures that everything is in perfect working order, ready to deliver optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be carefully positioned within a convenient 5-meter distance from the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to this control cabinet must be executed using a threading pipe that runs underground, ensuring a seamless and unobtrusive setup. After situating the electric control cabinet, make sure to expertly connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, achieving a flawless and efficient integration.
