The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a robust and innovative solution, featuring a comprehensive system that includes the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Renowned for its compact design, this compressor ensures ease of maintenance, making it an ideal choice for efficient and reliable operation.
3.3.1 Begin by seamlessly placing the compressor base as a whole upon its foundation. To achieve perfect leveling, strategically position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons, ensuring the unit is precisely leveled. Once satisfied, proceed to spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 designated points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific circumstances. Ensure that the contact surfaces are impeccably finished, allowing for uniform contact of the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2.
3.3.2 Employ a level for precision. The leveling requirements are as follows: axial leveling must achieve a meticulous 0.05/1000mm, while horizontal leveling should be at 0.10/1000mm.
Precision and diligence are paramount to ensure optimal performance.
3.3.3 Proper alignment of the coupling is crucial. Before proceeding with alignment, ensure the following preconditions:
1) Safely shut off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is larger than the bolt size, allowing for easy loosening to adjust the motor position;
6) Have a sufficient supply of flat, attachment-free stainless steel gaskets to support the motor. Avoid using elongated or thin gaskets for adjustment;
7) Use a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment meter (0.01mm accuracy), to be provided by the customer;
8) Prepare the necessary bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for precise placement of a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, ensuring the probe is correctly positioned on the compressor wheel hub's outer boundary;
10) Achieve alignment by adjusting the motor feet's bolts so that the compressor and motor center lines are nearly identical. The maximum permissible deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Coupling end face deviation should be within 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finally, secure the motor foot bolts firmly, then re-examine both the outer circle runout and the end face runout of the coupling,ensuring all alignments conform to required standards.
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 After aligning the casing's levelness, ensure all anchor bolts are tightened. Post-mechanical or trial operation, temporarily loosen and retighten the bolts to confirm stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed component, must remain free of any solid or liquid intrusion, which could cause severe irreversible damage to the compressor. Therefore, it is imperative that the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are immaculately clean and conform to the required steam corrosion grade of the system.Pipelines failing to meet these standards require rectification. It is advised to incorporate solid-liquid separation mechanisms, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of inlet and outlet pipes for the compressor. All import and export pipelines should be equipped with appropriate accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure the pipeline connected to the compressor is supported by a separate bracket, so that its weight does not burden the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its supportive equipment are meticulously installed, and the concrete has reached its complete solidification, the exciting next step is to conduct an operation test of the compressor. This crucial phase ensures the smooth functionality and performance efficiency of the entire system.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. This proximity aids in seamless connectivity. Furthermore, the wiring linking the compressor to the electric control cabinet should elegantly integrate with the environment by threading through an underground pipe. Once the electric control cabinet is securely stationed, it is essential to connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a streamlined and efficient operational workflow.
